Pathocracy reigns in unholy alliance

I received the comments quoted below in response to my last post, "Good men must DO something or evil prevails," and I promised to respond (see the "Comments" on this post). Nevermind that it's taken me nearly a year to finally get back to my blog. I wrote most of this in August of last year, but I'm just now finishing it and getting it posted. I hope to come out of my fog sometime soon and start posting more frequently from the quickly becoming Fascist States of America.

I cannot in all good conscience let the lies in these comments prevail without giving them what they ask for -- the truth -- and because this is a perfect example of how the pathocracy of the U.S., Britain and Israel work to marginalize dissent of their unholy alliance, I'd like to thank Abe Bird for submitting these comments, as it gives me the opportunity to point out how Agents work, decrying others who would step outside the Matrix of mainstream thinking. I know its old news but the discussion here revolves around Israel's attack on Lebanon last summer.

Let's first address the inaccuracy of the facts in the first sentence, designed clearly to invoke the phrase "Israel has a right to defend itself." The only aggression that Lebanon committed to provoke the wholly disproportianate attack by Israel was to "capture," not "kidnap," two Israeli soldiers in their own territory. What were these guys doing there to begin with? Didn't Lebanon have a right to "defend" itself? No soldiers were killed, nor rockets fired by Lebanon, until Israel began bombing a sovereign country.

Now, let's look a little more closely at this claim that Israel has a "right to defend itself." I'd like to quote from Joe Quinn's July 20 analysis, The Real Enemy:

Is It Really About Defence?
As an explanation for the murder of 300 Lebanese civilians over the past 7 days and the murder of over 3,000 Palestinian civilians and 800 Israeli civilians over the past five years, Bush and Olmert repeatedly state that "Israel has a right to defend itself". When the facts are analysed, this claim is nonsensical and an outright lie. The Israeli military has been occupying Palestinian, Lebanese (the Chebaa Farms area) and Syrian (Golan heights) for almost 40 years. In the Palestinian land that it occupies, the Israeli government had reduced the Palestinian population therein to little more than slaves. Israel holds these lands in defiance of international law. This is the major source of Palestinian and Hezbollah resentment towards and attacks on Israel. The continuation of an enforced occupation of the sovereign territory of another people and nation simply cannot be described as "defence". If a person comes and throws you out of your home and occupies it by force of arms, he may claim that he is "defending" it, but it is a defence of something acquired through illegal means and is therefore an unlawful and aggressive act. It is not defence.
The history of Israeli tactics in the occupied Palestinian territories over the past 50 years make it very clear that the ultimate goal of the Israeli power brokers has always been the removal, in one way or another, of all Palestinians from their land.
Consider the below image of illegal Israeli settlements in the West.
Now remember, other than the miniscule Gaza strip, this is all of the land available for a Palestinian state! The Israeli government began building the illegal settlements in 1967, the same year that it annexed Lebanese and Syrian land. Today, Israeli settlers live in plush comfortable houses with all amenities on 40% of Palestinian land in the West Bank, while Palestinians regularly have their meager houses destroyed by Israeli bulldozers. All crossings out of Gaza and the West Bank are strictly controlled by Israeli troops, with most Palestinians being denied the right to leave. Poverty in Gaza and the West Bank is rife with 65% of the population living below the poverty line i.e. on less than $2 per day.
What is very clear to Palestinians, and has been for a very long time, is that the Israeli government never intended to allow the Palestinians to have a state of their own. Palestinians are painfully aware of the fact that, since 1967, the Israeli government has been preparing what was left of Palestinian land for a final annexation into Israel, with the only impediment to the fulfillment of this plan being the Palestinians living there. With the recent staged crisis, Israel hopes to find the opportunity to deal with this last 'obstacle' to Greater Israel, once and for all. Clearly then, it is the Palestinians, and now the Lebanese, who are, and have always been engaged in defence against a long-term and ongoing Israeli plot to dispossess them of their land and homes forever. We see here that Israel's claim to defense is based on lies. They have yet to comply with UN Resolution 242, calling on them to return the lands they have occupied since 1967. How can they defend something they never had a right to in the first place? This is the lie that is continually twisted to justify their aggression against Palestinians and now the Lebanese.

I have no idea what Abe refers to here as to my first and second hypotheses. My only hypothesis in this post was that the unholy alliance between the US, Britain and Israel is wreaking destruction and devastation, and if we, who have a conscience, DO nothing, this evil will prevail.

Anyway if you don't like Israel's RIGHT war, please don't remain with your fat bottom on the chair.... go to Lebanon and fight the Jews.

Note again the belief that Israel has a "RIGHT" to defend itself; that this is a "RIGHT war." For all the reasons stated in Joe's anlaysis above. This is not a "RIGHT" war; it is an attempt by Israel to firmly cement its occupation of illegal territories.

As to his suggestion that I get off my "fat bottom on the chair" and "go to Lebanon and fight the Jews," this is fairly ludicrous and indicative of the mentality of those indoctrinated in a belief system of "us" versus "them." I have no intention of fighting anyone, since I believe that all wars have been designed by the pathocrats who rule our governments to line their pockets and those of their friends. A review of history shows us that all wars have been fought for confiscation of land and resources, rather than the ideals that the common folk believe they are being fought for, such as democracy, freedom, liberation, patriotism or religious belief. The aggressor is always out for something material, never for abstract ideas.

As long as the arab mindset remains that the taking of Jewish life is more important than the saving of arab life, we'll stay stuck at this point. A normal, sane mentality considers the numbers of death of it's own people before continuing to try and kill the enemy.
The critics of Israel need to train their sights at hizbullah and the rest of the Lebanese government for their continued aggression despite their total lack of ability to defend themselves. They are operating on the assumption that Israel will not hit back in kind.

Well, the faulty premise here, Alice, is that we are not dealing with "normal, sane" mentalities at the heads of the unholy alliance. We are dealing with psychopaths who will use any means, including the deaths of their own people, to justify their means. Of course, Abe refers here to the Arab mentality and infers that Hizbullah didn't think Israel would retaliate as they tried to "kill the enemy," but as pointed out already, Hezbollah captured two Israeli soldiers in their own territory -- they did not kill them. And this is what provoked two months worth of bombing and killing on Israel's part. Hardly seems justified.

And since I wrote the above, after the bombing was all over, we learned that in the last weeks of the war against Lebanon, Israel used all sorts of illegal cluster bombs to litter southern Lebanon. It will take many years for Lebanon to recover from such utterly unnecessary devastation. "Hit back in kind"? I'd say they hit back a thousand-fold plus.

Neither a guerilla nor a conventional army should target civilians. With that being said, if it's the method of operation and the strength of the enemy to move between civilians and use them as shelter, then that it is their responsibility to defend them. hizbullah has failed miserably to defend the population yet continues to attack just the same only to get more pain inflicted. The humanists must ask hizbullah how they can continue to destroy Lebanon.
I agree with the first sentence, but then there's that "but." This is a complete rationalization to justify the hundreds of thousands of Palestinian and Lebanese civilians that Israel has killed in its 40-year occupation. Now the destruction of Lebanon becomes Hizbullah's fault because they weren't able to defend their people? It didn't have anything to do with the two-month long bombing campaign conducted by Israel to retaliate for two soldiers captured on Lebanese soil? Blame the victim -- a classic psycopathic technique.

Here is the root problem the international community faces when giving advice. If the muslim civilians anywhere from Morocco to Pakistan go out to the street and celebrate the death of Israeli civilians after a suicide bombing or a soldier's kidnapping, or Katyusha rocket launch the world accepts it as part of islamic culture. If Israel apologizes for accidental bombing either UN or civilian they are accused of war crimes and lying. Imagine if the Israelis were dancing in the street after the Qana tragedy (which later proved to be HA proPalganda lies). If the international community really wants to weigh in, there needs to be equal expectations. Funny only Israeli`s have committed barbaric acts - you mean Plo, hamas, hezbolla and muslims in general have never, ever once committed a barbaric act? Maybe the world is not anti-semitic but they are hypocrites!
Again, this is complete rationalization to justify Israel's behavior and contains several inaccuracies. First, the "accidental bombing" of UN troops in Lebanon was in no way accidental, Dorothy, considering they radioed their position quite a number of times to Israeli troops, specifically telling them that they were being fired upon. Nor is the bombing, maiming, imprisonment and torture of Palestinian or Lebanese "civilians" over the last 40 years in any way accidental. It is a planned genocide. Futhermore, at least a few Israelis, perhaps many more, were celebrating while watching the World Trade Center burn on September 11, 2001 (see Laura Knight-Jadczyk's article Mossad and Moving Companies: Masterminds of Global Terrorism?).

Oh, and there's that word -- "anti-semitic" -- only Bird tries to make it sound like he's not calling me or any of us "anti-semitic," just "hypocritical." Always the AS word comes out whenever someone levels the least bit of, in my mind well-deserved, criticism of Israel. Read Douglas Reed's Controversy of Zion to find out how the AS word came into being and how it has been used by Israel to deflect any and all criticism of its occupation of Palestine. This book also does an excellent job of describing the unholy alliance between Israel, Britain and the U.S. -- a must read, Neo!

I went to school with muslim women and their fathers personally check to make sure they did not have sex with anyone, when they came for vacations. That`s not sick, weird, abnormal behavior? Okay, Neo, this is another trick of the Agents -- obfuscation. Let's completely divert the attention off the topic of the post to the cultural oddities of Muslims. I'm sure many cultures would find some of our American rituals just as distasteful, but so what? That's not what we're talking about here. This was designed to try to shock the reader into siding with Mr. Bird in his argument.

And there's that word again, Alice! Dammit, I'm not anti-semitic, I'm just a hypocrite! And now I'm dangerous, too! So, we've now connected in the reader's mind -- anti-semitic, hypocrite and dangerous. Are you beginning to see how the Architects of the Matrix program our thoughts? Nevermind that there isn't any TRUTH to it! Just connect a series of dots in people's minds, and they'll believe just about anything. There are still Americans who believe that Saddam was connected to Al-Qaeda, who was connected to 911, and therefore, he must have played a part, so we should bomb the hell out of his country and take it hostage, occupying it, just as Israel has occupied Palestine -- despite the connections having been proved false. Mostly, these are the Americans who watch FOX News, a network run by the Zionist Rupert Murdoch.

The rest of Mr. Bird's comments have to do with what happened at Qana, again trying to justify Israel's actions here in killing many civilians during its "rain" of terror on Lebanon. Let's see, Lebanon is being bombed to smithereens, and Hezbollah tries to defend Lebanon against an army far mightier, so it launches the only weapons it has in defense. But, oh no, not according to Mr. Bird, who justifies the slaughter of civilians by saying it was Israel who was defending herself. I'm sorry, but it's the blame the victim game again, don't you think?

I thought when I last posted in March that I was back in full force, but it's been a full four months since I last posted. I must now admit that I needed more time to heal from the shock and emotional bankruptcy created by almost a full year now of dealing with my covert aggressive, psycopathic, soon-to-be ex-husband. However, I can no longer remain in my pain and silence when the world is quickly going to hell, and I do mean a hell created here on earth by the psycopaths at the helm of our governments, especially the governments of the U.S., Britain and Israel.

Reading River's blog from Iraq, looking at pictures of children blown up in Lebanon and coming full force with the realization that it is MY government who is creating and supporting these atrocities. Anyone with a conscience must actively DO something to denounce this genocide of the Arabic peoples. We must speak out, we must protest, we must write our congress people, we must write on the Internet, call the Media, and pursue it with the same relentlessness that these psycopaths are pursuing their path of utter destruction. As the English philosopher Edmund Burke once said, "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

Israel's massacre of Lebanese civilians is no less atrocious than what Hitler did to their own peoples. You would think the Jewish Zionists would have learned compassion from that experience and would not want to visit on another peoples what had been visited on them, but you know the pattern, Alice -- the abused becomes the abuser. The U.S.' continued support for Israel should be denounced by every person in our government and a cease fire immediately be called for. But what is happening instead, we have people in our government calling those who would denounce this barbaric attack on Lebanon as "anti-Semites." Wake up, Neo, and follow the White Rabbit, for chrissakes!

Israel has been persecuting the Palestinians since they grabbed their land in 1948. They don't want a two-state solution -- they want total control of the land. They are currently massacring the Palestinians in Gaza, and now their blood-thirsty leaders want control of Lebanon, too. And I don't want to hear from any of you who think Israel is just "defending" herself from Arab terrorists. Israel created Arab terrorists, just like BushCo has created the supposed "war on terror."

Let's just take one example, the Israeli Mossad created the Hamas group, as an organization by which they could infilterate Palestinian resistance groups. When the Palestinians recently elect a Hamas-led government by democratic means, they then denounce Hamas, call for all nations to cut off aid to the Palestinians and are effectively committing genocide by starvation, not to mention the daily attacks in Gaza. Another example, they withdraw from Gaza to appease just about everyone who has called for Israel to give back land they stole, then find an excuse (the capture of a single Israeli soldier) to go back in, destroy Gaza, massacre hundreds of people and make it so that no Palestinian can live there.

Israel's destruction of the infrastructure of Lebanon and killing some 600+ Lebanese civilians (to date) seems wholly out of proportion to Hezbollah capturing two Israeli soldiers, which they haven't even killed. The U.S. and Britain's destruction of the Iraqi infrastructure and killing of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi and Afghani civilians in an illegal and immoral war, based on lies to the their own citizens, is wholly out of proportion to the 911 incident, wherein a few thousand Americans were killed -- and not even by the hands of Arab terrorists, as the evidence is mounting that 911 was an inside job (see 911 Truth Movement's Alex Jones hosting a Symposium of American Scholars run only on CSPAN, one of few mainstream media vehicles willing to dig into the truth). Not only do these psycopaths think nothing of killing other peoples, they think nothing of killing their own citizens, as long as it furthers the Architects' agenda.

I just went out and voted in an MSNBC poll asking whether President Bush should be impeached. Some 87% of the public says "yes"! You can add your vote at the link and see the results for yourself. The public has the power to demand the truth, to denounce the illegal wars being conducted around the globe by the axis of evil -- the U.S., Britain and Israel -- and to take our power back. If good men do nothing, evil pervails.

We must DO, and DO now, before it's too late.

Knocked down, not out

Okay, I'm over the "shock and awe," Dorothy! I'm weathering the tornado that blew through my marriage, and I am moving on alone down that Yellowbrick Road to Oz, hopefully picking up the Scarecrow (mind), the Tin Man (heart) and the Lion (courage) along the way.

Agents Smith, Smith and Smith have not been completely successful in taking me out, although I must say they did a damn good job of putting me in a whole lot of pain and misery, which has shut me up for a number of months now. Curious that all the problems with hubby started about the same time I was really getting going on the 'ol blog here. Then, Neo, just when I started really making some meaningful contribution as a member of a certain internet research group that studies many of the topics I write about, all hell broke loose at home, throwing me into the pit of negative emotion, out of which I've only just begun to crawl.

Oh, oh, and Alice, last summer, as all of this hoopla with my husband was beginning to flare up, my handle, "Star Dust," was used in two different variations to disparage this same internet research group on another web forum, causing suspicion within the group (classic COINTELPRO tactics: cause dissent, suspicion and mistrust within the target group, attack individual members of the group to scare them off or prevent them from participating, etc.). My guess is the Architects had also hoped to draw me into the forum discussion, in which I decided was not in anyone's best interest for me to participate, especially since that very same day I had been viciously attacked, via a string of e-mails, by a psychopathic co-worker. I was in way too emotional a state to deal with this latest attack, except to assure the e-group that it was not "moi" making these posts -- someone had stolen my handle -- or several variations thereof, anyway.

If you want to see these COINTELPRO tactics at work, just look at how "Signs of the Times," an alternative news organization, is currently being attacked. Now, you may be thinking about now, "Boy, Neo, she's a bit paranoid and delusional, don't ya' think?" Well, when you put the evidence together and look at it objectively, it does appear there are forces afoot to stop me from waking up, writing this blog and participating in the research group. Call it the Architects and their Agents and Programs, call it the General Law, call it the Predator, call it Lucifer -- it is the force that keeps us asleep and imprisoned in the Matrix. It must be struggled against to awaken, to emerge from our mechanical slumber.

So, will this series of attacks stop me from doing these things, Dorothy? "No way," I say. "Bring it on! Do your worst! I'm not giving up!" I couldn't possibly sink any lower than I've already been for the past seven or eight months. Well, I guess I could be "extraordinairily renditioned" to a prison in Bulgaria -- that probably would be sinking lower. Yeah, for sure that would be lower!

But, enough about me, it's really time to get back to work ... so very much has happened in the Fascist States of America since I last posted.

BushCo has been busy planning more war against Iran and Syria. Our pathetic, gutless, compromised Congress recently renewed support for the illegal wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, authorizing billions of dollars to further maim, kill and torture innocent people. These same people, who are supposed to represent us, also just reauthorized the Patriot Act, which continues to allow government spying on own its own citizens (also evidenced by Bush ordering warrantless wiretapping of U.S. citizens through the NSA) and the lock-up of enemy combatants without access to attorneys, without charges, without trial. Am I living in a free country? I don't think so, Alice!

Oh, and now that Bush has stacked the Supreme Court with right-wing evangelists, we're sure to see a further crack down on civil rights, not to mention that it now gives the Neocons complete control over all three branches of government -- just what the Architects ordered -- a police state.

Why Congress will not bring impeachment proceedings against this administration is beyond my comprehension, Neo! The lies that Bush and his feifdom have told far, far outweigh the perjury Bill Clinton may have committed in testifying about his sex life, yet Congress was oh-so-very-quick to bring impeachment proceedings against him for lying about SEX. My heavens, people! Where are our priorities? This administration is committing GRAVE ATROCITIES based on LIES, and Congress does nothing, nada, zip, just keeps going along with the lies, funding the lies, fueling the lies ... and so it is and so it will be ... it seems.

I read a political button recently that said, "If you aren't outraged, you're not paying attention!" Well, I'm paying attention, and I'm absolutely outraged that my tax dollars are going to fund illegal wars, to fund more prisons in Iraq instead of real help in reconstructing a country we've destroyed, to fund political payoffs to an oil cartel that is now reaping record profits under this administration, to fund illegal wiretapping of U.S. citizens, oh, and there are so many other reasons to demand that this administration step down that I could fill pages.

The only conclusion one can reach at this point is that the U.S. government has gone completely mad, and the Maddest Hatter is at the helm. Time to seriously plan an exit strategy, Neo!

Agents of the Matrix descend

More than two months have elapsed since I last posted. I've been pretty busy battling a bunch of Mr. Smiths, Neo. Yep, that's right, the Architects have sent their Agents after me in a big way, keeping me off balance emotionally and physically for the last five months and stepping up the attack in the past two months.

Who are these Agents? Oh, they can be anyone, even your closest loved ones. One day you think you know them and love them as kind and decent people, and in five months time, they've become self-absorbed, pathological liars. Yep, they've been activated, Alice.

I'm fairly convinced that alcohol addiction, especially, but other drug addictions, too, can open the doors to activation. One loses control of their mind while under the influence, and if the behavior is continued, the predator takes over completely.

I've been dealing with addicts since I was a kid, and my survival role both in the family of origin and later in life has been that of Hero and Chief Enabler -- I'm the one who seems to get suckered into trying to help or change the addict. I do this so the addict will like me, stay with me, won't ever leave me if he/she needs me. In the end, I'm the one who gets the shaft, who gets hurt every time. Well, no more. I've declared war against my own co-dependency.

In recent months, I've learned my husband, who up until five months ago I adored, has been having an affair with another woman. He was kind, gentle, loving, a good father, fun, handsome and a hundred other great adjectives. He rarely drank alcohol, and for eight long years we've enjoyed an honest, communicative, open relationship.

A few years back, he decided he wanted to become a massage therapist. I encouraged this, and he truly does have a gift for massage. Well, about five months ago, he went to work for Madame X, who is a hairdresser and runs a salon not far from where we lived. I was ecstatic that he was moving to a salon closer to the house, whose hours were only until 7 p.m., as he had been working at a salon much futher away and whose hours were until 9 p.m. This would mean he'd have more time for me and the kids. Or at least that's what the kids and I thought.

Before too long, he started drinking after work with Madame X, who is likely an alcoholic in her own right. "Just drinking buddies," he said. He started coming home later and later, sometimes staying until 1 a.m. in the morning. He didn't seem to understand why I was upset by this. "We're not doing anything but drinking," he said.

She had him convinced that I was trying to "control" him and his time. His personality began to morph into someone I didn't know at all, someone who had now become a cold, calculating liar. I told him that I wasn't trying to control him; I was just trying to get my husband back. Well, this went on for four months with me freaking out that he was having an affair (which it turns out he was) and him telling me lie after lie after lie. I threatened to leave several times, went and got a hotel room on several occasions, but he always managed to seduce me into coming back with words of "I love you." What a bunch of horse-hockey, Dorothy!

Don Juan said the greatest fear that the predator has is that of "exposure." Well, he was finally exposed about four weeks ago, when he made the mistake of taking a witness with him on one of his jaunts to Madame X's house. The witness observed them kissing and holding hands throughout the day. He even asked the witness not to tell me what had been observed that day. Well, fortunately for me, the witness had greater loyalty to me than him and told me all about it that very evening.

Needless to say, confirmation of the lie was the straw that broke the camel's back, and I prepared with all sincerity to leave. I found a place to move, packed my stuff and my two kids, and was moved out within two weeks time. I'm not sure he even knew what hit him, but I was determined not to stay any longer than absolutely necessary. I was under attack, and I knew it.

He is still in denial that anything more than just that one day "when the predator was caught" happened between the two of them. "Just one day -- a big mistake -- please come back to me." No, even though I miss who he was terribly -- he's definitely not the same person he was five months ago. I can't allow my feelings of sadness and moments of weakness to hook me back into playing the predator's game -- believing the lie. And, believe me, Alice, there has been plenty of pain, sorrow, pity and self-pity to suck me back in.

But, don't you see, Dorothy, that's exactly the Architects' plan -- keep you so off-balanced and distracted by triggering your emotional center to pre-occupy itself with negative emotions that you don't have time to think, read, write, wake-up to the Matrix, do the Work, complete your mission or do any meaningful, spiritual work on the self, for that matter.

As you begin to wake-up to the hyperdimensional reality, you can expect attack by what Gnosis calls the General Law; Neo calls it the Matrix and its Agents. Not only do the Architects not want you to wake up, they definitely do not want you helping others to wake-up. Don't wake up the sheep, please! They might realize that they are about to be slaughtered and jump the frequency fence!

Now, not only have I been dealing with hubby's sudden alcohol addiction and apparent betrayal, but last week my crack-addicted, 44-year-old sister calls, crying for help -- not help to get into treatment, mind you -- but help to pay the rent on her cheap hotel bill. Pulling on my heart strings, trying to evoke pity by telling me all of her things were stolen, didn't work this time. I told her I would only be willing to help her get treatment, and nothing more. She hung up on me, and I haven't heard from her since. So, for the moment, Agent Number Two has been neutralized.

Katrina: Trial run for New World Order?

Wow, since I last posted, the worst natural (or was it natural, Neo?) disaster to ever hit the United States came ashore on Aug. 29 in the form of Katrina, a Category 4 hurricane that made landfall just east of New Orleans, Lousiana. Thousands have died and hundreds of thousands are displaced and out of work. Like most Americans, we've been glued to the television and the Internet, watching this horror unfold.

In the days prior to the hurricane, the right-wing controlled media were predicting the very disaster that has, in fact, happened, if New Orleans were to take a direct hit. But the storm took an easterly turn and missed much of New Orleans, making landfall along the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. It seemed New Orleans would be spared the brunt of the storm. Many were breathing a sigh of relief on Monday evening, but Tuesday would bring new woes. Many, who thought they had been spared, would learn that there was a much worse fate in store for them.

I thought it was quite odd that the levees in New Orleans held through the storm, but mysteriously began to burst some 24 hours after the danger of the storm had passed, flooding 80 percent of New Orleans and bringing on the very disaster that the media pundits had foretold. Strange things, indeed, Dorothy?

Martial law was declared to maintain order, but no help was forthcoming. No food, no water, no evacuation for some 100,000 still left in the city -- the poor, who had no means of evacuating prior to the storm. Some witnesses from Gretna, La., are now reporting they went 7 days without food and water, their relatives arrested for looting when they were just trying to obtain food, ice and water for their family members, and would still be there if it had not been the New Black Panthers sending in busses for them.

Why was Federal help so late in coming, and why did the Bush administration cut funding for the last several years for much needed levee projects in New Orleans? Why was FEMA blocking aide into the city and cutting local communication lines? Could it be that this was a planned disaster, or at the very least, a natural disaster that was used to further the power elite's agenda? Could it be, Alice, that our government has once again staged a disaster that has killed its own citizens to further its own agenda?

Here is a well researched article that I read yesterday on Signs of the Times from Alex Jones' InfoWars.net and will repost in its entirety because it summarizes so nicely many of the thoughts I've had about this un-natural disaster and many of the things I've learned from other sources during the past week:

Imagine an America where everyone is displaced. It's survival of the fittest as all law and order has broken down. Martial law has been declared with 24 hr curfews, Posse Comitatus has been overturned and there are troops on the streets shooting anyone who disobeys their orders. Thousands and thousands of people are starving but the authorities will not allow aid in any significant amounts. Large crowds are quelled with the use of sonic lasers, whilst overhead drone aircraft monitor the area, checking for any anomalous activity.
Any form of Local and State government has been abandoned and officials have been forcibly removed against their wills. The elite infiltrators of the Federal Government watch on from afar, in control of everything, answering to no one and getting fat off the profits of their own corrupt inactivity which brought about the situation in the first instance. They like it that way, it suits them down to the ground, why should they do anything to improve the situation?

This is the nightmare situation of a New World Order takeover in America. It is what we have been warning the world about for years. It is no longer some distant possibility on the horizon that our children may have to endure and fight against, it is here, it is now. New Orleans is a testing ground for this exact scenario, all this is going on there now. We are witnessing in New Orleans, the construction of a microcosm for a "New America" and a New World Order.
If it keeps on rainin', levee's goin' to break
The overriding issue that is simply being ignored by the mainstream media is that it was the federal government itself that lowered the guard in cutting off key funding to protect Louisiana from natural disasters.
The New Orleans district of the US Army Corps of Engineers bore the brunt of a record $71.2 million reduction in federal funding for fiscal year 2006.
The Army Corps of Engineers sought $105 million for hurricane and flood programs in New Orleans, while the White House slashed the request to about $40 million. Congress finally approved $42.2 million, less than half of the agency's request.
The Bush administration has been cutting funding for federal disaster relief funds since 2001 while doubling funding in other areas to pump up the biggest growth in government for decades, easily outstripping that of Bill Clinton.
A report from the Best of New Orleans news website outlines the details.
"...Among emergency specialists, 'mitigation' -- the measures taken in advance to minimize the damage caused by natural disasters -- is a crucial part of the strategy to save lives and cut recovery costs. But since 2001, key federal disaster mitigation programs, developed over many years, have been slashed and tossed aside. FEMA's Project Impact, a model mitigation program created by the Clinton administration, has been canceled outright. Federal funding of post-disaster mitigation efforts designed to protect people and property from the next disaster has been cut in half. Communities across the country must now compete for pre-disaster mitigation dollars."
The Bush administration's move to merge FEMA with Homeland Security meant that the two had to compete for funding. Straightforward projects that would have massively reduced the devastation we are now seeing, such as raising houses, were cast aside in favor of anti-terrorism measures.
In early 2001, FEMA issued a report stating that a hurricane striking New Orleans was one of the three most likely disasters in U.S., including a terrorist attack on New York City!. "The New Orleans hurricane scenario," The Houston Chronicle wrote in December 2001, "may be the deadliest of all." But by 2003 the federal funding for the flood control project essentially dried up as it was drained into the Iraq war.
Walter Maestri, emergency management chief for Jefferson Parish, Louisiana was quoted on June 8, 2004 in the New Orleans Times-Picayune, as saying "It appears that the money has been moved in the president’s budget to handle homeland security and the war in Iraq, and I suppose that’s the price we pay. Nobody locally is happy that the levees can’t be finished, and we are doing everything we can to make the case that this is a security issue for us."
Ultimately, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is directed, along with 15 other agencies, by the Federal Emergency Management Agency. "It is FEMA who is really calling the shots and setting priorities here," Lt. Gen. Carl A. Strock, commander of the corps has said.
Much of the Netherlands lies below sea level and after the 1953 flood which killed 1,800 people, the Dutch launched a major flood prevention program called the Delta Plan. Engineers fortified dykes and bolstered other water defenses against a future disaster and there hasn't been one since. Had a similar project been in place for New Orleans and had Bush not cut the funding, the misery and turmoil being visited on that area would have been avoided.
Not only is the Bush Administration directly responsible for the ferocity of this disaster, the blame also lies with Clinton. 10 years ago, the Clinton administration cut 98 flood control projects, including one in New Orleans, saying such efforts should be local projects, not national.
A $120 million hurricane project, approved and financed annually from 1965 was killed by the Clinton administration after being approved by the Army Corps of Engineers. It was designed to protect more than 140,000 West Bank residents east of the Harvey Canal.
The New York Times has reported that there were vivid reasons to push for the greatest level of protection. One was Hurricane Betsy, a midgrade storm that swamped much of New Orleans in 1965. In 1969, Hurricane Camille, the second-most-powerful Atlantic storm recorded, passed within 60 miles and demolished the Mississippi coast.
Bob Sheets, a meteorologist who directed the National Hurricane Center until retiring in 1995, has said that he and other federal forecasters gave hundreds of talks about storm risks, and New Orleans was always the case study for catastrophe since the 1970s. He has said of the city officials: "Essentially they did nothing."
Despite all this, In an interview on Thursday the 1st September, on "Good Morning America," President Bush said, "I don't think anyone anticipated the breach of the levees."
Furthermore, the mainstream media, despite several reports emerging to the contrary, republished Bush's comments. The New York Times declared that "The response will be dissected for years. But on Thursday, disaster experts and frustrated officials said a crucial shortcoming may have been the failure to predict that the levees keeping Lake Pontchartrain out of the city would be breached, not just overflow."

This April 2005 article in Popular Science proves that Bush's comments were grossly inaccurate. "At 20 feet below sea level, new Orleans is a prime target. An ambitious new levee system would decrease the risk."
As World Net Daily reported, a year ago, New Orleans reviewed its hurricane disaster plans after Hurricane Ivan gave the city a major scare forcing the evacuation of nearly 1 million people from the area. Governor Kathleen Blanco and Mayor Ray Nagin both acknowledged after the Ivan near miss they needed a better evacuation plan.
Even the AP noted at the time, "New Orleans dodged the knockout punch many feared from the hurricane, but the storm exposed what some say are significant flaws in the Big Easy's civil disaster plans." The big flaws were that there simply were no civil disaster plans and FEMA had no intention of developing any.
So it is clear that Officials at the Army Corps of Engineers and emergency managers and hurricane experts knew for years, that the levees surrounding the New Orleans area were built to withstand only a relatively weak Category 3 hurricane. Hurricane Katrina, a Category 4 mega-storm, thus had devastating consequences. Still funding was slashed and the disaster was allowed to happen.
When The Levee Breaks I'll have no place to stay
In the aftermath of the disaster it has become obvious that the Government has no interest in alleviating the suffering and helping to restore civility in the region.
In particular FEMA, which has endlessly drilled for such situations, has been a key hindrance. After the authorities in Baton Rouge had prepared a field hospital for victims of the storm, FEMA sent its first batch of supplies, all of which were designed for use against chemical attack, including drugs such as Cipro, which is designed for use against anthrax. The London Guardian reported, "We called them up and asked them: 'Why did you send that, and they said that's what it says in the book'," said a Baton Rouge official.
Yet don't think for one second that FEMA is simply incompetent. FEMA is criminally negligent. FEMA has done nothing to aid the situation, in fact according to Jefferson Parish President Aaron Broussard, Federal bureaucrats have 'Murdered' the Flood Victims in New Orleans. Broussard stated on Meet The Press that " We have been abandoned by our own country." He broke down in tears as he described how FEMA has cut emergency communication lines and has been turning back fuel and water supplies being sent by outside agencies such as Wal Mart. This is because the Federal Government wants complete control over the situation. Broussard, speaking through his tears re-iterated "nobody's coming to get us, nobody's coming...for God's sake shut up and send somebody."
Even American Red Cross officials have said that FEMA authorities would not allow them to deliver aid. "The Homeland Security Department has requested and continues to request that the American Red Cross not come back into New Orleans," said Renita Hosler, spokeswoman for the Red Cross.
Even Jack Cafferty, the CNN anchor known for his straight-talking, has declared: "I remember the riots in Watts. I remember the earthquake in San Francisco. I remember a lot of things. I have never seen anything as badly handled as this situation in New Orleans. Where the hell is the water for these people? Why can't sandwiches be dropped to those people in that Superdome down there? It's a disgrace. And don't think the world isn't watching."
Former FEMA officials have admitted that Government disaster officials had an action plan if a major hurricane hit New Orleans. They simply didn't execute it when Hurricane Katrina struck. Ronald Castleman, the former regional director for the Federal Emergency Management Agency and John Copenhaver, a former FEMA regional director during the Clinton administration who led the response to Hurricane Floyd in 1999, said they were bewildered by the slow FEMA response.
We even have blogs from former New Orleans residents who have managed to get to safety. One exclaiming that:
"There are supplies sitting in Baton Rouge for the folks in New Orleans, but the National Guard has the city surrounded and is not letting anyone in or out. They are turning away people with s[QUOTE]upplies, claiming it is too dangerous...Our goverment is KILLING the people of New Orleans. This is the message I am now sending to all major media sources, national and worldwide, as well as posting to email lists, blogs, etc. The story is getting out that the people there are not getting supplies, but the truth of WHY is not. "
The LA Times interviewed a survivor who said, "The only thing the authorities have given us is a bunch of false hope,". she had survived Tuesday through Friday on scavenged scraps of food inside the cavernous hall. "They just left us here to die."
The Federal response was further criticised by New Orleans deputy police commander W.S. Riley who reported to AFP that Guardsmen 'played cards' as the chaos unfolded and many were dying. He stated that for three days there was no assistance. "The guard arrived 48 hours after the hurricane with 40 trucks. They drove their trucks in and went to sleep."
There have also been suggestions that part of the levee around N.O. was dynamited after the first section broke in an attempt to prevent Uptown (the rich part of town) from being flooded. Apparently they used too much dynamite, thus flooding part of the Bywater.
Reports and comments from officials today have indicated that President Bush's visit is nothing more than a staged photo op.
ZDF News reported that the president's visit was a completely staged event. Their crew witnessed how the open air food distribution point Bush visited in front of the cameras was torn down immediately after the president and the herd of 'news people' had left and that others which were allegedly being set up were abandoned at the same time. The people in the area were once again left to fend for themselves, said ZDF. [War And Piece]
"2 minutes ago the President drove past in his convoy. But what has happened in Biloxi all day long is truly unbelievable. Suddenly recovery units appeared, suddenly bulldozers were there, those hadn't been seen here all the days before, and this in an area, in which it really wouldn't be necessary to do a big clean up, because far and wide nobody lives here anymore, the people are more inland in the city...The extent of the natural disaster shocked me, but the extent of the staging is shocking me at least the same way. With that back to Hamburg." [Daily Kos]
White House officials do not deny that they craft elaborate events to showcase Bush, but they maintain that these events are designed to accurately dramatize his policies and to convey qualities about him that are real.
The Times-Picayune of New Orleans has called for the firing of FEMA director Michael Brown and has heavily criticized the government for its awful response.
Jefferson Parish President Aaron Broussard, despite his break down on Meet The Press, also stated that "FEMA needs more congressional funding. It needs more presidential support . . . FEMA needs to be empowered to do the things it was created to do."
FEMA is now simply a federalized front group for the corrupt money hoarding Department of Homeland Security, the Orwellian titled agency that has nothing to do with security and everything to do with limiting the freedoms of people all over the country. Local officials no longer have any authority and have been forcibly evacuated, even despite the fact that they wished to stay and oversee the recovery efforts.
Mayor Nagin has also said that the National Guard's Blackhawk helicopter carrying the sandbags to plug the hole in the levee on 17th St. Canal was intentionally diverted away. Nagin was quoted as demanding to federal officials "Get Off Your Asses And Do Something". Nagin is clearly paranoid about the whole situation, is running around playing the part of the good cop to FEMA's bad cop. This sets the table for FEMA to sweep in and heroically save the day at a later date. Nagin has also warned "If the CIA slips me something and next week you don't see me, you'll all know what happened."
Cryin' won't help you, prayin' won't do you no good
Martial law was declared in New Orleans midday Tuesday 30th August. Posse Comitatus has been overturned and the National Guard has authorization to shoot and kill anyone they deem to be "hoodlums". Governor Kathleen Blanco has declared that "These troops are fresh back from Iraq, well trained, experienced, battle tested and under my orders to restore order in the streets."
This is a microcosm of the New America. The LA Times reported that "their mission simply, is to turn New Orleans into a police State - to "regain the city" as 1st Sgt. John Jewell has said. Police have been ordered to stop saving lives and start saving property by shooting anyone who attempt to get food and water. The police are looting themselves to stay alive whilst the ordinary people are starving. This is the new police state America.

Some of the most sophisticated military equipment used in the Iraq war to quell the insurgency is now being used in New Orleans. We have continually highlighted how such equipment was developed specifically for domestic use and now this has come to pass. Five Silver Fox "unmanned aerial vehicles," or UAVs, equipped with thermal imaging technology to detect the body heat of storm survivors, have been deployed in New Orleans.
Also being deployed are acoustic devices for crowd control and disaster communications, sonic Laser equipment that is currently in use in Iraq. The device uses magnets approximately 6 inches tall and 9.25 inches wide to convert electrical pulses into sound waves, and is capable of aiming sound precisely for thousands of feet. This allows for the ability to blast out orders that can be heard for miles and allows for crowds to be fired upon and dispersed by soundwaves.
Those who fall in line with the curfews and the orders are still treated like criminals in this New America. Footage has shown that men women and even children are being separated and thoroughly frisked and searched before being rescued. It seems that survival comes second to being a civilian subject.
The ground troops have begun "combat operations" “to take this city back” in the aftermath from those they have termed "insurgents". These are terms also being used in Iraq, but now they fit perfectly here to describe anyone who disobeys or does not fall in line in the New America. The troops have declared their shock at having to shoot at US citizens and being shot back at, yet the majority of these people are deliberately being deprived of food and water by the federal authorities, they are desperate and have been forced into this situation.

Those who were grabbed in the immediate aftermath were shipped into the Superdome and simply left there without any aid. This represents nothing more than a concentration camp as starving and thirsty refugees were not allowed to leave, trapped until the authorities deemed it appropriate to move them.
The media covering the event have been appalled by this activity and the reality of the New America it seems is sinking in in some instances. Fox reporter Geraldo Rivera was filled with tears in his eyes and his voice fluttered with sorrow as he made an on-air plea to authorities to allow the estimated 30,000 storm victims at the center to be allowed to move to a safer, cleaner area. "Let them walk out of here, let them walk the hell out of here!"
Checkpoints have been set up throughout the area to make sure no one leaves and no one gets in without the say so of the federal authorities. It is clear that an emergency response should not be conducted this way. It is also clear that this is no ordinary emergency response. This is a blueprint, a litmus test for the New America, the police state, the New World Order.
When the levee breaks, mama, you got to move
Whilst the disaster evolves it has already been decided who will restore order and who will reap the profits of the lucrative cleanup contracts. Dick Cheney affiliated Halliburton have again been rewarded that task as they have so many times. After 9/11, in Afghanistan and in Iraq Halliburton and the elite government infiltrators reap the rewards again and again. Last week Alex Jones joked on his how that Halliburton may get the contract to clean up - the sad reality is that even the things we joke about are now coming to pass every time.
The agenda is clear, they allow the disaster to happen, or they manufacture the disaster in the case of 9/11, and then they reap the financial rewards first and the control mechanism rewards that categorize their New America a little later.
It has also emerged that FEMA Outsourced the disaster plans to political cronies and major donors. They outsourced the hurricane recovery planning to the Baton Rouge-based consulting firm Innovative Emergency Management (IEM), Inc. IEM's team partners for the more than $500,000 contract are Dewberry of Arlington, VA, URS Corporation of San Francisco, and James Lee Witt Associates. Witt was FEMA Director under Bill Clinton. IEM's president is Madhu Beriwal. The company was founded in 1985. Dewberry and URS are engineering firms. IEM is also a Defense Department contractor and has contracts with the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) along with team members Booz Allen Hamilton and Lockheed Martin.
These people all have their hands in the honey pot, they benefit from such tragic events, wars and disasters every time.
Going down... going down now... going down....
We have seen recently the precedent being set for the eventuality we now see unfolding. The constant ratcheting up of fear based control through the exploitation of terror attacks and terror alerts. The technology that we have monitored through its development stages is now being put into place.
Everything we have covered over the last few years is becoming an actuality in New Orleans at this time. We can only report it further and get the important information out in place of controlled mainstream media that refuse to or are prevented from reporting the real issues.
This is a major event in the agenda for a New America and a New World Order and it may be a make or break one.
This New America is being controlled by corrupt elite criminals who seek to achieve the degradation and enslavement of humanity through war, "revolution," sickness, starvation, depression, and now "natural" disaster. A disaster has been turned into a drill for martial law. This is not an accident. It is part of a relentless process of demoralization designed to make the people accept tyranny and excessive control over their lives.

I believe we can expect the toll from this un-natural disaster to exceed any other the U.S. has seen, including the Great Depression. We can expect:

Further erosion of freedoms in this country, especially for the poor, largely African Americans who were displaced by the disaster;
Further collapse of the American economy as billions upon billions of dollars go toward housing, feeding and educating displaced New Orleans citizens, cleaning up and rebuilding the mess that is now New Orleans, and paying out billions in insurance claims;
Routine implementation of Martial Law to maintain law and order in other places, perhaps where large numbers of evacuees are being housed, like the Houston Astrodome;
Fake commissions created to investigate the Federal Government's negligent homocide, much like the whitewash 911 Commission that only served to create further justification for consolidating law enforcement agencies under Homeland Security, the new SS; and
A draft, if the military cannot recruit enough of those out-of-work New Orleanians to sign up, which they are already shamelessly pursuing in places like the Astrodome.

We simply must wake up, America, and take back our country -- before it's too late. And it's damn near too late, don't you think, Neo?

King George losing it?

With King George's approval rating at an all time low over the war in Iraq, it seems the press is finally noticing his psycopathic behavior. The more he gets backed into a corner, the more I think we will see him unravel, as this Capitol Hill Blue suggests. Because the press is finally waking up and because this article so accutely nails Bush's psycopathy, I'm re-posting the entire article:

Bush's Obscene Tirades Rattle White House Aides

While President George W. Bush travels around the country in a last-ditch effort to sell his Iraq war, White House aides scramble frantically behind the scenes to hide the dark mood of an increasingly angry leader who unleashes obscenity-filled outbursts at anyone who dares disagree with him.

“I’m not meeting again with that goddamned bitch,” Bush screamed at aides who suggested he meet again with Cindy Sheehan, the war-protesting mother whose son died in Iraq. “She can go to hell as far as I’m concerned!”

Bush flashes the bird, something aides say he does often and has been doing since his days as governor of Texas. Bush, administration aides confide, frequently explodes into tirades over those who protest the war, calling them “motherfucking traitors.” He reportedly was so upset over Veterans of Foreign Wars members who wore “bullshit protectors” over their ears during his speech to their annual convention that he told aides to “tell those VFW assholes that I’ll never speak to them again if they can’t keep their members under control.”

White House insiders say Bush is growing increasingly bitter over mounting opposition to his war in Iraq. Polls show a vast majority of Americans now believe the war was a mistake and most doubt the President’s honesty.

“Who gives a flying fuck what the polls say,” he screamed at a recent strategy meeting. “I’m the President and I’ll do whatever I goddamned please. They don’t know shit.”

Bush, while setting up for a photo op for signing the recent CAFTA bill, flipped an extended middle finger to reporters. Aides say the President often “flips the bird” to show his displeasure and tells aides who disagree with him to “go to hell” or to “go fuck yourself.” His habit of giving people the finger goes back to his days as Texas governor, aides admit, and videos of him doing so before press conferences were widely circulated among TV stations during those days. A recent video showing him shooting the finger to reporters while walking also recently surfaced.
Bush’s behavior, according to prominent Washington psychiatrist, Dr. Justin Frank, author of “Bush on the Couch: Inside the Mind of the President,” is all too typical of an alcohol-abusing bully who is ruled by fear.

To see that fear emerge, Dr. Frank says, all one has to do is confront the President. “To actually directly confront him in a clear way, to bring him out, so you would really see the bully, and you would also see the fear,” he says.

Dr. Frank, in his book, speculates that Bush, an alcoholic who brags that he gave up booze without help from groups like Alcoholics Anonymous, may be drinking again.

“Two questions that the press seems particularly determined to ignore have hung silently in the air since before Bush took office,” Dr. Frank says. “Is he still drinking? And if not, is he impaired by all the years he did spend drinking? Both questions need to be addressed in any serious assessment of his psychological state.”

Last year, Capitol Hill Blue learned the White House physician prescribed anti-depressant drugs for the President to control what aides called “violent mood swings.” As Dr. Frank also notes: “In writing about Bush's halting appearance in a press conference just before the start of the Iraq War, Washington Post media critic Tom Shales speculated that ‘the president may have been ever so slightly medicated.’”

Dr. Frank explains Bush’s behavior as all-too-typical of an alcoholic who is still in denial: “The pattern of blame and denial, which recovering alcoholics work so hard to break, seems to be ingrained in the alcoholic personality; it's rarely limited to his or her drinking,” he says. “The habit of placing blame and denying responsibility is so prevalent in George W. Bush's personal history that it is apparently triggered by even the mildest threat.”

Wow, Dorothy, this is the president that 51% of Americans supposedly elected in 2004? This is the man who has the keys to the nuclear buttons? The right-wing controlled media ran poor Howard Dean into the ground just because he let out an excited "yee-haw" at a campaign rally, claiming that we certainly wouldn't want someone this exciteable in the White House. Lord, no, Alice! But we'll elect someone like George W. Bush, who's had drug and alcohol problems most of his life and who obviously has anger management issues?

W. is supposedly a Christian, god-fearing man -- who curses like a sailor, flips the bird at whoever pisses him off that day, usually reporters, calls veterans of foreign wars "assholes," and shows absolutely no empathy for mothers who've lost their sons in this alleged "war on terror"? I don't know about you, but I don't think that's very Christian-like behavior and the 51% who allegedly voted for him ought to be thinking pretty hard right now about what they've done and the monster they've created.

I can't see how anyone in their right mind could possibly believe W. when he says that he "honors the men who've died" for this war, or any war, for that matter. The man is simply a two-faced liar. Anyone who disagrees, anyone who dissents, anyone who confronts him is met with the greatest of disdain behind the scenes, apparently. If he's not drinking, he's certainly acting like a dry drunk.

My new hero -- Cindy Sheehan

Have you been following the Cindy Sheehan story, Alice? She's definitely become my new hero. Here is a military mom who lost her son last year after he had been in Iraq for only a few weeks. Now, she camps down the road from King George's Crawford, Texas, ranch (where he is taking another one of his vacations, does the man ever work, Neo?) and refuses to leave until King George agrees to meet with her to tell her for what "noble cause" her son died. I really don't think that's asking too much, do you, Dorothy?

In fact, I think King George owes the whole nation an explanation. Yes, please tell us, Mr. Bush, for what "noble cause" our troops are fighting -- and more lies don't count. We already know there were no weapons of mass destruction. We all know that neither Saddam, nor Iraq, were connected to the attack on 9/11. We now know through the Downing Street memos that the Bush administration fixed intelligence to justify the invasion of Iraq. We already know that we're not fighting for freedom and democracy. So, let's cut the bullshit. Why are America's sons and daughters still dying in Iraq? Moreover, why are America's sons and daughters still killing innocent Iraqis, and why were they sent there in the first place?

Cindy is just one of many military moms who've lost their sons or daughters in Iraq for no just cause. Needless, senseless violence -- for no just cause. Another mom's story is told on TomDispatch.com. She hasn't lost her son yet, but the Costs of War have had their toll on her. Here's some of Teri Wills Allison's story:

I am not a pacifist. I am a mother. By nature, the two are incompatible, for even a cottontail rabbit will fight to protect her young. Violent action may well be necessary in defense of one's family or home (and that definition of home can easily be extended to community and beyond); but violence, no matter how warranted, always takes a heavy toll. And violence taken to the extreme -- war -- exacts the most extreme costs. A just war there may be, but there is no such thing as a good war. And the burdens of an unjust war are insufferable.

I know something about the costs of an unjust war, for my son, Nick -- an infantryman in the U.S. Army -- is fighting one in Iraq. I don't speak for my son. I couldn't even if I wanted to, for all I hear through the Mom Filter is: "I'm fine, Mom, don't worry, I'm fine, everything is fine, fine, fine, we're fine, just fine". But I can tell you what some of the costs are as I live and breathe them.

First, the minor stuff: my constant feelings of dread and despair; the sweeping rage that alternates with petrifying fear; the torrents of tears that accompany a maddening sense of helplessness and vulnerability. My son is involved in a deadly situation that should never have been. I feel like a mother lion in a cage, my grown cub in danger, and all I can do is throw myself furiously against the bars…impotent to protect him. My tolerance for bullshit is zero, and I've snapped off more heads in the last several months than in all my 48 years combined.

For the first time in my life, and with great amazement and sorrow, I feel what can only be described as hatred. It took me a long time to admit it, but there it is. I loathe the hubris, the callousness, and the lies of those in the Bush administration who led us into this war. Truth be told, I even loathe the fallible and very human purveyors of those lies. I feel no satisfaction in this admission, only sadness and recognition. And hope that --given time -- I can do better. I never wanted to hate anyone.

Xanax helps a bit. At least it holds the debilitating panic attacks somewhat at bay, so I can fake it through one more day. A friend in the same situation relies on a six pack of beer every night; another has drifted into a la-la land of denial. Nice.

Then there is the wedge that's been driven between part of my extended family and me. They don't see this war as one based on lies. They've become evangelical believers in a false faith, swallowing Bush's fear mongering, his chicken-hawk posturing and strutting, and cheering his "bring ‘em on" attitude as a sign of strength and resoluteness. Perhaps life is just easier that way. These are the same people who have known my son since he was a baby, who have held him and loved him and played with him, who have bought him birthday presents and taken him fishing. I don't know them anymore.

But enough of my whining. My son is alive and in one piece, unlike the 1,102 dead and 7,782 severely wounded American soldiers; which equals 8,884 blood soaked uniforms, and doesn't even count the estimated 20,000 troops-- not publicly reported by the Department of Defense -- medivaced out of Iraq for "non-combat related injuries." Every death, every injury burns like a knife in my gut, for these are all America's sons and daughters. And I know I'm not immune to that knock on my door either.

And what of the Iraqi people? How many casualties have they suffered? How many tens of thousands dead and wounded? How many Iraqi mothers have wept, weep now, for their lost children? I fear we will never know, for though the Pentagon has begun --almost gleefully -- counting Iraqi insurgent deaths, there is little chance of getting an accurate verification of civilian casualties. You know, "collateral damage."

Back to the mother camped in the ditch in Crawford. The right wing "clappers" have been all over Cindy, trashing her character on the talk shows, dragging her name in the dirt, calling her names, like "ignorant cow," and doing the usual damage control -- by all means, they must discredit the dissenters, Neo. Remember, to expose their lies is to usurp their power. For real insight to Cindy's character, read the daily blogs from protesters camped out with her on the Code Pink website. I think you'll find more insight there than watching the neocons do their usual ragging on anyone who questions this illegal war or the Bush administration in general.

Unless we support folks like Cindy and add our voices to the growing roar, the right to speak out will soon be crushed by the likes of King George and his court. I hope you'll add yours, Dorothy.

What does Star Wars III say about Empire?

Did you see this movie, yet, Neo? I'm still digesting it after having seen it on the big screen a week or so after its release in the U.S. a couple of months ago.

Others have commented on the movie's prophetic capture of today's times. George Lucas claims he wrote the script in the 70's near the close of the Vietnam War, and if that's the case, then the man truly is a prophet, right up there with Orwell.

A number of scenes stick in my mind. How about the one where the Galactic Senate is meeting and the Supreme Chancellor has just announced that they are winning the war against the "Separatists" [substitute "terrorists" or "insurgents"] on the Outer Rim of the galaxy, a separatist movement the Chancellor has fueled to suit his own agenda? He also announces that the Jedi Council no longer has any power and brands them as aligned with the "Separatists." Through executive decrees, he basically declares that he is taking over. The Senate erupts in applause. Padme, who is Anakin Skywalker's secret wife and also a member of the Galactic Senate, stares in disbelief and says, "So this is how democracy dies -- with the sound of thunderous applause." Whoa, Nellie!

The movie depicted how the Galactic Senate allowed themselves to be duped into accepting a fascist government through the lies and propaganda of the Supreme Chancellor, soon to become Emperor. Those that went along with his plan I have referred to in an earlier post as "clappers," those who dutifully repeat the party line without a critical thought in their brains or those who reside in a permanent state of mind-controlled hypnosis, all Agents for the Architects to activate at any time.

Anakin, in the process of turning to the dark side and becoming Darth Vader, sounds very much like George Bush, as he tells his beloved mentor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, "If you're not with me, then you're my enemy." Obi responds with, "You Sith are all alike. You deal in nothing but absolutes." It's black or white. "You're either with me or you're with the terrorists." Oh my! Oh my! That does sound familiar, Dorothy.

The whole plot of Star Wars III has happened many times on this planet, each time on a larger scale. It happened in Nazi Germany, and it is happening in America today. First, an enemy is created, usually outside of the populace on foreign soil -- the "separatists" in Star Wars III rebelling on another planet, the "foreign terrorists who burned the Reichstag" (and later the Hitler-created internal enemy -- the Jews), the Islamic "terrorists" and "insurgents" of this very day. Next, the thinking, questioning and dissenting people are systematically ridiculed, discredited, compromised, eliminated, disappeared or thrown in prison -- the scholars, the activists, the progressives, the scientists who don't conform -- just as the Jedi had to be eliminated in Star Wars III. Finally, all you have left are the clappers, who will go along with whatever Draconian measures are put forth in the name of freedom, democracy and, above all, "security." (Oh, let's definitely don't forget security, Alice!)

The Architects are scaring us into submission with continued acts of terror that they themselves create. Why, Neo? Because they have an agenda. All good Architects have a blue print, everyone knows that. I've talked about some of the agenda in previous posts. Can you say "global domination," Dorothy?

Hitler thought he could rule the world, and so do George Bush and his gang of thugs. Absolute power, corrupts absolutely (forgot who said that, but I think it to be true). The more power the Neocons amass (now in control of all three branches of the U.S. government), the more corrupt they become. Their choice is to destroy the innocent, decent and creative in this world in their lust for power.

Yoda said it best to Anakin when he was trying to warn him that what he feared most to lose would be his downfall, and I'm paraphrasing here, "There are only two choices in this world -- to serve the self (like the Sith) or to serve others (like the Jedi)." Obtaining the power through the dark forces to save his wife (the one thing he feared losing the most) compromised Anakin completely. In the end, he brought about the death of his bride by the very actions he took to prevent her death. Had he stayed to the light and served the whole, held to his Jedi training, he might have prevailed in saving her (or not), but he still would have been serving the whole, rather than his selfish interest in not losing Padme. It's all just a little bit too ironic, don't you think, Neo?

The Architects' greatest fear is getting caught in their lies and losing their power, as they only hold power because of the lies. They continue to create lie, after lie, to cover more lies, and they become more corrupt with each and every lie.

Oil companies' secret meet to slice up Iraq

Lest there be any doubt why we have gone to war in Iraq, it should be made abundantly clear by the following article. (No, Alice, it's not to fight for freedom and democracy. No, Dorothy, it's not to free the Iraqi people from a brutal dictatorship, and, no, Neo, it's not because Saddam had weapons of mass detruction or that he was in any way connected to 9/11 and terrorists. It's none of that.) Yep, it's control of the oil, for the most part, although I think control of the Middle East in general is the ultimate aim.

This June 23 article on The London Line by Tom Burgis pretty much says it all. Here are the first several paragraphs from Iraq: The carve-up begins:

The Iraq war has so far cost America and Britain £105 billion. But the financial clawback is gathering pace as British and American oil giants work out how to get their hands on the estimated £3 trillion worth of oil.
Executives from BP, Shell, Exxon Mobil and Halliburton, Dick Cheney's old firm, are expected to congregate at the Paddington Hilton for a two-day chinwag with top-level officials from Iraq's oil ministry. The gathering, sponsored by the British Government, is being described as the "premier event" for those with designs on Iraqi oil, and will go ahead despite opposition from Iraqi oil workers, who fear their livelihoods are being flogged to foreigners. The Met will be on hand to secure the venue ahead of the conference.
"This is a networking opportunity for UK businesses involved in Iraqi oil," explained Dr. Hussain Rabia, managing director of the consultancy Entrac Petroleum Ltd. "We have the moral support of the UK government. They're bringing the guys over from Iraq, offering them visas. We expect all the big oil companies to be there," he said.
Delegate numbers are described as "confidential." Shell spokesman Simon Buerk would not confirm that a representative of the company would be attending, but said he "wouldn't be at all surprised if they were."
"We aspire to establish a long-term presence in Iraq," he said. "We have been helping the [Iraqi] Ministry of Oil and engineers with training."
Those who have purchased their £1,200 tickets can expect access to executives from Iraq's oil ministry, including Salem Razoky, the director general of exploration.
But Iraqi oil workers are furious about the conference. "The second phase of the war will be started by this conference carving up the industry," said an outraged Hasan Juma'a, head of the Iraqi General Union of Oil Employees. "It is about giving shares of Iraq to the countries who invaded it - they get a piece of the action as a reward.
The British government will back this action in order to pay its debt in Iraq."Hasan, who represents 23,000 skilled oil workers, fears that deals struck at the conference will see profits from Iraq's massive oil reserves - the second richest in the world - lining the pockets of multinational corporations at the expense of the Iraqi people.

Well, I think that about sums it up, Dorothy! Burgis later reports on the protest that was held outside the Paddington Hilton, wherein 60 or so protesters dressed as pirates tried to get inside the building, but, of course, were quickly swept away by security. Here are some of the interview quotes from Pirates raid oil summit:

"These people are inside the Hilton carving up the spoils of war," said Ewa Jasiewicz of the Corporate Pirates, who organised the protest. "The Iraqi workers have reconstructed their industry through three wars and 13 years of sanctions - they don't need help from anyone."
Hani Lazim, an Iraqi from Kirkuk, said Iraqis would resist attempts to sell their resources abroad. "It took Iraqi people over 50 years to reclaim their oil industry. Now the grubby hands have come in again. The war was waged, bringing malnutrition and disease. They won't dare take even a barrel of Iraqi oil."
Despite the government's insistance that no contracts will be signed at the conference, others argue it demonstrates Britain's [and America's, I might add]readiness to profit from the invasion of Iraq. "It proves all the arguments of the anti-war protesters right," said Mark Curtis, director of the World Development Movement.
"The war was about oil. It exposes the government as liars - again."

Right-o, old chap! Business as usual for Bush, Cheney and all of their oil buddies.

And, of course, we heard nothing about this in the state-controlled media here in the U.S. You really have to go outside mainstream sources of U.S. news to get anything that remotely resembles reality. Keep searching, Neo, the real news, the truth, is out there...

Just a week or so ago, two of my sons and I were talking about the differences between the protests during the Vietnam War and the present day state in which we find ourselves. I, who am barely old enough to remember the Vietnam War, was trying to explain to them, neither of whom are old enough to remember anything about the Vietnam War, that student demonstrations were staged at many universities, people, such as Martin Luther King, Jr., were actually speaking out against war with great passion, and protest songs, such as Fortunate Son (CCR) and Ohio (Neil Young) were blaring on the radio.

I wondered with them why the voices of protest were now silent over this illegal war. Well, I didn't have to wait long for the protest songs to emerge. This week, I discovered that the Signs of the Times team have written and recorded an MP3 file, called You Lied. Check it out and pass it on. Here are the words to the song:

Today, my son was telling me that System of a Down has recorded a couple of protest songs over the past few years, one of them being Boom! in 2002, and that they are actually playing on the radio. This band is way too heavy metal for me, but the lyrics, if you can understand them, indicate that the younger generation, as in the 60's and 70's, are leading the charge in social dissent, their elders being way too timid to speak out. I think there are many reasons why there isn't the outcry over this war that there was over Vietnam. One obvious reason, Dorothy, is there hasn't been a draft -- not yet, anyway (but just you wait, 'enry 'iggins, it's coming). Another is the propaganda that we were attacked by Arab terrorists on 9/11, which, of course, was used as justification for everything that has followed (see previous posts for more on this). Another is all the propaganda that has followed, stirring this false sense of national patriotism, just like Hitler did with the German folks back in the 1930's.

Personally, I'm glad to see protest songs getting out there. Whether it's Eminem's anti-Bush, get-out-the-vote music video effort, which was fairly ineffective because it didn't come out in time to make much of difference (Oh, hell, Alice, who am I kidding? It wouldn't have made a difference even if it had been released two years before the election.), or the System of a Down song, or my personal favorite, You Lied.

If all of the Hollywood idols, actors, rock stars, writers and directors would speak their mind, en masse, instead of just a daring few, then it just might help turn the mainstream tide away from fascism in this nation, but, no, Neo, we have mostly cowards in Hollywood who are more concerned about making millions than they are about people dying, just like those we have sitting in our government. Let's just take a quick example. Did you know that Bob Geldoff, organizer of Live8, the big Rock 'n Roll show in London last weekend prior to the G8 summit, gave instructions that none of the bands were to do any kind of song criticizing King George? Sounds like censorship to me, Alice!

Living in Orwellian times, no doubt

Apparently, I'm not the only one who sees the connection between the events of today and George Orwell's 1984 (see previous posts). A recent op-ed piece in the Boston Globe by H.D.S. Greenway, titled The Return of '1984', also makes this comparison. Here's the first several paragraphs:

IF YOU TAKE something to read at the beach this summer make sure it is not one of George Orwell's books. The comparison with current events will ruin your day.
In what was then the futuristic, nightmare world of ''1984," written in 1949, Orwell introduced the concepts of ''newspeak," ''doublethink," and ''the mutability of the past," all concepts that seem to be alive and well in 2005, half a century after Orwell's death. In the ever-changing rationale of why we went to war in Iraq, we can imagine ourselves working in Orwell's ''Ministry of Truth," in which ''reality control" is used to ensure that ''the lie passed into history and became the truth."
And what about the Bush administration's insistence that all is going well in Iraq? In the Ministry of Truth, statistics are adjustable to suit politics -- ''merely the substitution of one piece of nonsense for another," Orwell wrote. ''Most of the material that you were dealing with had no connection to anything in the real world, not even the kind of connection that is contained in a direct lie. Statistics were just as much a fantasy in their original version as in the rectified version." Welcome to the Iraq war, Mr. Orwell.
What of Donald Rumsfeld's newspeak, or was it doublethink, sayingthat ''no detention facility in the history of warfare has been more transparent" than Guantanamo? We have the FBI's word for it that prisoners were chained hand and foot in a fetal position to the floor, left for 18 to 24 hours with no food and no water, left to defecate and urinate on themselves.
The deaths by torture in Abu Ghraib and Afghanistan sound very much like what happens in Orwell's fictional torture chamber: Room 101.
He might as well have been writing about the Bush administration's redefinition of torture when he wrote about using ''logic against logic, to repudiate morality while laying claim to it."

Perhaps, the mainstream is beginning to wake up, Dorothy? The question now becomes whether or not we will wake and rise up in enough force to stop the Proletariat from completely subjugating the population, as they had in Orwell's 1984. I don't know, though, I think we're still a long way from moving, from acting on our collective conscience.

I heard on Democracy Now's War and Peace Report, according to a recent poll, that some 37% of Americans now believe that George Bush should be impeached, if it was determined that he lied to the American public about the reasons for invading Iraq. [my italics] My first response to that was "the Bush Administration has already admitted that they lied about weapons of mass destruction. Now, the Downing Street memos clearly show that they fixed intelligence to suit their plan to go to war." What the heck are we waiting for, Alice? The cheshire cat to morph into a full blown fascist dictator?

We brought impeachment proceedings against Nixon for spying on his opponents, we actually impeached and tried Clinton for lying about a sexual tryst, and we can't seem to draw more than 37% support for impeaching a president who is now responsible for murdering hundreds of thousands of innocent people -- our own soldiers, Iraquis and Afghanis -- to suit the neo-con geo-political agenda. What's wrong with this picture, Neo?

Now, here's the key. We can't just impeach Bush; we must also impeach Dick Cheney. What I fear more than leaving Bush in power is Cheney coming to power. I believe that Cheney is truly the brains behind this whole endeavor, and to give him full power of the presidency would be like putting a fox in the hen house. Things will get worse, not better, and the agenda will continue.

Let's get the real facts about Iraq

Most Americans don't have a clue about what's really going on in Iraq because of the ruling elite-controlled media that supports the current administration and who are all too willing to tow the party line and run their blatant propaganda. The mainstream media are falling down on their jobs woefully, and, as a result, our democracy is in danger of totally crumbling. A free press is crucial to a free society.

But there are ways to find out what's really going on and to connect with the people who are living this U.S.-created nightmare. One of those ways is to seek out "alternative" news sources, such as those listed on the left side of the page. Another is to read the "blogs" being written by Iraquis inside the country.

If we really want to know what hell our government has created for innocent Iraquis, then let's get the inside story, shall we, Dorothy? An Iraqui, code-named River, writes this entry on June 21 to her blog, Baghdad Burning:

We spent some of yesterday and a good portion of today washing clothes, rinsing them and speculating on how our ancestors fared without washing machines and water pumps.
The electrical situation differs from area to area. On some days, the electricity schedule is two hours of electricity, and then four hours of no electricity. On other days, it’s four hours of electricity to four or six hours of no electricity. The problem is that the last couple of weeks, we don’t have electricity in the mornings for some reason. Our local generator is off until almost 11 am, and the house generator allows for ceiling fans (or “pankas”), the refrigerator, television and a few other appliances. Air conditioners cannot be turned on and the heat is oppressive by 8 am these days.
Detentions and assassinations, along with intermittent electricity, have also been contributing to sleepless nights. We’re hearing about raids in many areas in the Karkh half of Baghdad in particular. On the television the talk about ‘terrorists’ being arrested, but there are dozens of people being rounded up for no particular reason. Almost every Iraqi family can give the name of a friend or relative who is in one of the many American prisons for no particular reason. They aren’t allowed to see lawyers or have visitors and stories of torture have become commonplace. Both Sunni and Shia clerics who are in opposition to the occupation are particularly prone to attacks by “Liwa il Theeb” or the special Iraqi forces Wolf Brigade. They are often tortured during interrogation and some of them are found dead.
There were also several explosions and road blocks today. It took the cousin an hour to get to work, which was only twenty minutes away before the war. Now, he has to navigate between closed streets, check points, and those delightful concrete barriers rising up everywhere. It is especially difficult to be caught in traffic and that happens a lot lately. Baghdad has been cut up into sections and several of them may be found to be off limits immediately after an explosion or before a Puppet meeting. The least pleasant situation is to be caught in mid-day traffic, on a crowded road, in the heat - waiting for the next bomb to go off.
What people find particularly frustrating is the fact that while Baghdad seems to be falling apart in so many ways with roads broken and pitted, buildings blasted and burnt out and residential areas often swimming in sewage, the Green Zone is flourishing. The walls surrounding restricted areas housing Americans and Puppets have gotten higher- as if vying with the tallest of date palms for height. The concrete reinforcements and road blocks designed to slow and impede traffic are now a part of everyday scenery- the road, the trees, the shops, the earth, the sky…and the ugly concrete slabs sometimes wound insidiously with barbed wire.
The price of building materials has gone up unbelievably, in spite of the fact that major reconstruction has not yet begun. I assumed it was because so much of the concrete and other building materials was going to reinforce the restricted areas. A friend who recently got involved working with an Iraqi subcontractor who takes projects inside of the Green Zone explained that it was more than that. The Green Zone, he told us, is a city in itself. He came back awed, and more than a little bit upset. He talked of designs and plans being made for everything from the future US Embassy and the housing complex that will surround it, to restaurants, shops, fitness centers, gasoline stations, constant electricity and water- a virtual country inside of a country with its own rules, regulations and government. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Republic of the Green Zone, also known as the Green Republic.
“The Americans won’t be out in less than ten years.” Is how the argument often begins with the friend who has entered the Green Republic. “How can you say that?” Is usually my answer- and I begin to throw around numbers- 2007, 2008 maximum… Could they possibly want to be here longer? Can they afford to be here longer? At this, T. shakes his head- if you could see the bases they are planning to build- if you could see what already has been built- you’d know that they are going to be here for quite a while.
The Green Zone is a source of consternation and aggravation for the typical Iraqi. It makes us anxious because it symbolises the heart of the occupation and if fortifications and barricades are any indicator- the occupation is going to be here for a long time. It is a provocation because no matter how anyone tries to explain or justify it, it is like a slap in the face. It tells us that while we are citizens in our own country, our comings and goings are restricted because portions of the country no longer belong to its people. They belong to the people living in the Green Republic.

I don't know about you, but as a tax-paying American citizen, I am completely disgusted, outraged and dismayed by our government's behavior. In fact, I feel sick after reading this.

First, they lie to us about the reasons for war, then they bomb the crap out of Iraq's infrastructure and its citizens. When the citizens of Iraq resist this blatant occupation, our government and the media label these patriots and resistance fighters as "terrorists" and "insurgents" in an attempt to demonize them. While all of this is going on and in secrecy behind high walls, the U.S. is quietly building a "Green Zone" city full of luxury, from which we can only presume they will continue to occupy the country for years to come. Hel-lo, just what planet did you say we are on, Neo?

I don't doubt for a minute that Iraqis do see the Green Zone as a "slap in the face." Wouldn't you if you were in their shoes? Wouldn't you become a resistance fighter if our country was invaded with the intent to occupy and conquer? Isn't that what fighting for one's country is all about? Isn't that true patriotism? It's not about sending our troops to fight a fake war for fake reasons with a false sense of patriotism that we're fighting to defend our freedoms, but with the real intent to occupy a country as a conqueror. I don't believe this is what most Americans believe they stand for, regardless of the supposed majority support for this murderous administration.

Innocent Iraqis are being thrown in detention centers, living with intermittent electricity and water, enduring road blocks and checkpoints, not to mention the daily fear of losing their lives, while coalition forces inside the Green Zone live like kings. I might add that innocent Palestinians have been enduring the same sort of treatment from Israel for years now, all with U.S. support.

But, then again, perhaps, my fellow Americans don't really care. Perhaps, they are too wrapped up in their daily struggle to make ends meet, or too busy playing with their latest techno toy, or simply too vegged out in front of the television. Perhaps, they believe that this administration's actions aren't going to affect them, but I fear that we are like sheep being led to the slaughter. This is going to cause a backlash. If not now, soon.

Not too late to impeach Bush and Cheney

Interesting how the universe works, how ideas are picked up by the collective unconscious and expressed at the same time.

I wrote my last post on June 4, and not two days later Gary Steven Corseri publishes a piece entitled, Liberate America! 25 Reasons to Impeach George W. Bush on Counterpunch.org and reprinted on Signs of the Times today, making the same analogies to the American War for Independence and the overthrow of King George III's rule over America, but stating condsiderably more reasons for impeachment than I outlined below. Great minds think alike, yes?

We're extremely late in an attempt to impeach George Bush and his gang of thugs. We should have been outraged enough to oust them when they stole the 2000 election, and maybe the tragedy of 9/11 would have never happened. But, it's never too late to run a tyrant out of office.

Not that I think my measley letter will do much good, but I'm going to e-mail my senators and congressman requesting that they begin impeachment procedures and link to this article. If everyone who believes that George W. Bush is guilty of the crimes laid out in Corseri's article would do the same, we might have a greater effect. The roar of our voices must be heard over the massive propaganda machine that this administration has created. Otherwise, we are doomed to repeat the experience of Germans under Nazi fascism.

America, where is the outrage?

My fellow Americans, I ask you, "Where is the outrage in this country over what King George and his cohorts have done and will surely keep doing to further their goal of world domination?" Let's recount just a few of their war crimes, certainly worthy of impeachment.

First, a domestic attack on their own countrymen that killed some 3,000 on September 11, 2001, so that they could set the stage for what was to come -- a fake war on terror against a fake group of Arab terrorists. The evidence is becoming overwhelming that this was and is the case. I, for one, cannot believe that the CIA doesn't know where Osama Bin Laden is and have said all along that, if even still alive, he's likely residing in a CIA safe house somewhere, to be brought out when it's convenient for King George's entourage to profit from his being found.

Next, pre-emptive strikes against Afghanistan and Iraq that have killed hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis and Afghanis -- all to gain control of the world's oil and a geo-political hold in the Middle East. Never mind that they lied to us about the reasons for these strikes, which has now been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Now, there is the torture of prisoners at Guantanamo and Abu Graib -- alleged enemy combatants who are being held without charges, without communication with lawyers, without hope of a trial -- in violation of the Geneva Conventions and everything we hold dear in the U.S. Constitution.

America, where is the outrage?

There was another King George that our ancestors once rebelled against to win the war for independence -- King George III of England. His crimes of taxation pale in comparison with our modern day King George of America. Our ancestors, those we consider patriots, fought to throw off the tyranny of King George III to establish what WAS the greatest democracy of modern times -- over stamp and tea taxes. Where is the outrage over the crimes against humanity George Bush commits today?

And like King George III, our own King George seems to be slipping further into delusion and madness. Can he not see that he's driving our country into bankruptcy -- both moral and financial -- despite his supposed born again Christian faith and fiscally responsible Republican party affiliation? Can he not see that the world doesn't "hate us for our freedoms"? If they hate us, it's because of our arrogance, brutality, bullying and down right tyranny. We have become exactly what our forefathers in the thirteen colonies fought to repel.

America, where is the outrage?

As our democracy crumbles, and it has been crumbling for some time now, even before King George's reign with the administrations of Reagan, Bush the Elder and Clinton, many of us have begun to see the parallels between the House of Bush and the rise of Hitler. Recently, I read an article on Rense.com about a man who is moving his family back to Germany because he sees happening here in America exactly what happened during the rise of Hitler in Nazi Germany. His story is told in Holocaust Survivor Leaving US - Sees What's Coming:

"No," he answered me. "I'm going back because I've seen this before." He then commenced to explain that when he was a kid, he watched with his family in fear as Hitler's government committed atrocity after atrocity, and no one was willing to say anything. He said the news refused to question the government, and the ones who did were not in the newspaper business much longer. He said good neighbors, people he had known all his life, turned against his family and other Jews, grabbing on to the hate and superiority "as if they were starved for it" (his words).

He said he was too old to see it happen right in front of his eyes again, and too old to do anything about it, so he was taking his family back to Europe on Thursday where they would be safe from George W. Bush and his neocons. He seemed resolute, but troubled, nonetheless, as if being too young on one end and too old on the other to fight what he saw happening was wearing on him.

There was no outrage among the German people at what Hitler was doing, as he pumped up their sense of superiority and patriotism by pummeling them with propaganda (sound familiar). And, as the old man in the article said, the news media in Nazi Germany didn't dare speak the truth of what was happening for fear of being put out of business. It's no different today with the vast majority of the news media towing the party line, spitting out government propaganda as if it were real news.

I guess the question now, Alice, is will we let this deranged psychopath and his band of merry thugs continue to bully the world and strip us of our last vestiges of freedom? Or will we stand up and fight against tyranny, as our forefathers once did? Will we stay silent as our government continues its atrocities, just as the people of Germany stayed silent as Hitler massacred millions of leftists, labor unionists, socialists, activists, and, yes, Jews?

I say we adopt the Queen of Hearts' solution: "Off with their heads!" Impeach and try King George and his handler, Dick Cheney, for the war criminals that they are. Now, before it's too late!

Like a deer in the headlights

Boy, I thought the Spring Equinox (last time I posted) was supposed to be a renewal of energy -- huh, more like a stall of energy for me. I haven't been able to muster the energy for posting, thinking or writing in well over a month. Wake up, wake up, wake up... The poppies keep putting me back to sleep.

Fighting the frequency fence, the Matrix, the predator, the General Law that throws "A" influences at you constantly can be quite a struggle. I can't even seem to muster the energy to finish repairs to my house or get a sign put up out front, so we can sell the blasted thing before the real estate bubble pops and use the money to get out of the country.

I must focus on an aim, one little goal at a time; otherwise, it becomes overwhelming and I do nothing, so my goal for today is to finish this post, then go home and try to hang some more wallpaper. Pretty mundane, but you'd be surprised -- these have been my goals for about three or four weeks now and nothing's been done.

Most days I come home from work and feel like a deer in the headlights, dazed, confused, stoned, numb, whatever, but unable to "do" anything toward my goals. Apparently, John Kaminski feels that way, too, and he discusses some of the same questions I've been struggling with, like whether to leave the country or not. Check out his latest article on warfolly.com, called Deer in the Headlights. In part he says,

"Never have I heard so much talk as over the past few years about people wanting to escape from warmongering America. I get postcards from Costa Rica, cryptic e-mails from Thailand, letters about how nice it is in Denmark or Portugal or Brazil, all from people who have shucked that furtive sense of panic that still grips many people with actually functioning souls who remain uneasily in their decaying United States.
Once I wrote that we shouldn’t run off to foreign places, that the best of us should stay and fight for what is truly ours. But who can blame those of us who are intimidated by the widespread lack of support for values and actions that are truly humane. What’s the score now? About six people in the entire Congress who are apt to tell the unvarnished truth about anything? And not a single newspaper.
To not be afraid is to be stupid."

Where is this numbing effect coming from? Why, Neo, from the Matrix, of course! The Architects have designed the Matrix to numb us and dumb us down, to program us as nothing more than mechanical slaves, bound to the Matrix by debt, fear and mind controlling propaganda. Anything to kill the soul will do. Well, that's assuming you or I have a soul, as Kaminsky points out. Half of us may be "organic portals," devoid of the capabilities of higher feeling and thinking. From the looks of our current government, the organic portals are taking over.

Anyone remember the movie, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, with Donald Sutherland? I just thought it was a good horror/sci-fi flick the first time I saw it way back in the early '80s. Now, as with so many works of fiction, the plot seems to be unfolding before our very eyes. In the movie, if you didn't conform to the routine of folks whose bodies had been taken over by some sort of mind controlling plants (aliens), you were singled out by the crowd with screeches and pointing, so that everyone would know that you were not one of "them," then the police, now also taken over by aliens, would come and round you up.

Boy, if that doesn't remind me of the very behavior used to discredit and defame anti-war protesters like Susan Sarandon, Michael Moore, Sean Penn, the Dixie Chicks and the poor French, who merely were exerting their right to their opinions in a supposedly "free" society. The screechers, organic portals, or the "clappers," as I like to call them, had a field day denouncing these folks on every talk show and news magazine, weaving it into themes for TV sitcoms and movies, making jokes on late night TV. This is how the Architects operate, you see. When someone gets out of line, whack! They are hit with a barrage of defamation, discreditation and ridicule. And, if they aren't careful, they might just end up like JFK, JFK Jr., John Lennon, Martin Luther King Jr., Bobby Kennedy, nearly 20 microbiologists, Sen. Paul Wellington and hundreds of others who have been "offed" by the secret government over the last 40 years for pursuing the truth and speaking their mind in public -- for daring to stand up to the Architects and telling it like it is.

Keep struggling with me, Dorothy, to wake up to the truth, instead of acting like a deer in the headlights.

Quantum jumping to the perimeter

Well, I've been in a time warp for the last two weeks, how about you, Dorothy? It's the Spring Equinox and time to wake up. Yes, I've been under the spell of the Wicked Witch of the WEST, doing my daily duties, paying my taxes, dues, and creditors, slaving for the corporation, too tired in the evenings to write. I feel like Winston Smith already.

It's hard to keep from falling back to sleep, distracted by the constant chaos that seems to surround me most of the time. Gurdieff would say we're constantly bombarded with "A" influences to the point that few are able to recognize the "B" influences that emanate from the Universe and our own creative, soul self. The Architects take full advantage of this state to keep us imprisoned in the Matrix, and, in fact, seek to heighten the chaos (A influences) and dampen our chances of ever receiving any B influences that can help us find order and creativity. They write programs and send in agents of the Matrix to divide and conquer and to cover their asses (oh, excuse me, White Rabbit, I meant hide their footprints and scent). Predators, indeed, as Don Juan might say.

Chaos, as it turns out, just happens to be the preferred state of a system, according to the properties of systems theory, quantum physics and a theory called EEQT, developed by quantum physicist Arkadiusz Jadczyk. Laura Knight-Jadczyk, his wife, explains the theory in laymen's terms in her article, The True Identity of Fulcanelli and The Da Vinci Code.

Our universe seems to be made up of matter/energy and of consciousness. These are the female/receptive and male/active principles of the great Cosmic Androgyne.
Matter/energy by itself "prefers", as it seems, a chaotic state. Matter/energy by itself doesn't even have a concept of "creation" or "organization". It is the consciousness - the active "male" principle - that brings to life these concepts and by its interaction with matter pushes the universe towards chaos and decay or towards order and creation.
This phenomenon can modeled mathematically and simulated on a computer using EEQT (Event Enhanced Quantum Theory). Whether EEQT faithfully models the interaction of consciousness with matter - we do not know. But chances are that it does because it seems to describe correctly physical phenomena better than just the orthodox quantum mechanics or its rival theories (Bohmian mechanics, GRW etc.) What we learn from EEQT can be described in simple terms as follows:
Let us call our material universe "the system." The system is characterized by a certain "state". It is useful to represent the state of the system as a point on a disc. The central point of the disk, its origin, is the state of chaos. We could also describe it as "Infinite Potential" (the Great Mother - Nature). The points on the boundary represents "pure states" of being, that is states with "pure, non-fuzzy, knowledge". In between there are mixed states. The closer the state is to the boundary, the more pure, more 'organized' it is.
Now, an external "observer", a "consciousness unit", has some idea - maybe accurate, maybe false or anywhere in between - about the "real state" of the system, and observes the system with this "belief" about the state. Observation, if prolonged, causes the state of the system to "jump". In this sense, you DO "create your own reality", but the devil, as always, is in the details.
The details are that the resulting state of the system under observation can be more pure, or more chaotic depending on the "direction" of the jump. The direction of the jump depends on how objective - how close to the reality of the actual state - the observation is.
According to EEQT if the expectations of the observer are close to the actual state of the system, the system jumps, more often than not, into more organized, less chaotic state.
If, on the other hand, the expectation of the observer is close to the negation of the actual state (that is when the observer's beliefs are closer to being false than to being true according to the ACTUAL state - the objective reality), then the state of the system, typically, will jump into a state that is more chaotic, less organized. Moreover, it will take, as a rule, much longer time to accomplish such a jump.
In other words, if the observer's knowledge of the actual state is close to the truth, then the very act of observation and verification causes a jump quickly, and the resulting state is more organized. If the observer's knowledge of the actual state is false, then it takes usually a long time to cause a change in the state of the system, and the resulting state is more chaotic.
What this means is that order can be brought out of chaos by observing chaos as it IS and not pretending that it is otherwise.
In short, everyone who "believes" in an attempt to "create reality" that is different from what IS, increases the chaos and entropy. If your beliefs are orthogonal to the truth, no matter how strongly you believe them, you are essentially coming into conflict with how the Universe views itself and I can assure you, you ain't gonna win that contest! You are inviting destruction upon yourself and all who engage in this "staring down the universe" exercise with you.
On the other hand, if you are able to view the Universe as it views itself, objectively, without blinking, and with acceptance, you then become more "aligned" with the Creative energy of the universe and your very consciousness becomes a transducer of order. Your energy of observation, given unconditionally, can bring order to chaos, can create out of infinite potential.

Wow, did you get all that, Neo? We can create order from chaos by observing reality as it is. By SEEing, SAYing, LIVing, LOVing -- TRUTH -- we can make quantum jumps toward order and creativity. Holy Cow, what a concept! There is chaos because there are lies, there is wishful thinking, illusion and delusion -- deceit around us and within us -- feeding daily on our souls.

Everytime we tell, believe or just plain accept a lie, we help perpetuate the chaos. We plunge our world further into entropy and decay. I'm blown away, Dorothy! How do we get home?

Well, you know what Glenda the Good Witch always says, "you've always had the power to go home, Dorothy." I don't think we need ruby slippers, to figure this one out, given what we've just learned. We have the choice to align ourselves with truth and quantum jump toward the perimeter of the system and a pure state -- or to believe the lies and continue living in chaos. The power IS within.

The power is when we exercise our free will, when we choose true or false, light or dark, knowledge or ignorance, love or hate, to serve others or to serve self (you get the picture, Neo).

Newspeak: Nothing but Mind Control

I ended last post with a quote from George Orwell's 1984 -- the three slogans of the Proletariat -- and we can see these being manifest in our own time. King George talks of "war" for "peace," how we are bringing "freedom" to Iraq and Afghanistan, when in reality, we're bringing "slavery" to corporatism there and in every country whose freely elected or not government was overthrown by the CIA. And we see how the Architects (the Powers That Be or PTB) are trying to convince us that "ignorance" is "strength" ("build stronger, whiter teeth by drinking flouridated water," which as been shown to negatively affect brain functioning, or "keep watching that television with evermore exciting things to learn," while we're inundated with sensational news designed to shock us and breed fear, not to mention the advertising and outright propaganda).

Just as in the book 1984, the Proletariat was stamping out thought entirely by creating a new language, called "Newspeak," so too are the PTB trying to control our language to put the most positive spin on their profiteering. Witness this article at Common Dreams by Nancy Snow, called The Language Police: Gettin’ Jiggy with Frank Luntz. She writes:

"If you need any more confirmation that America is the numero uno propaganda nation, look no further than the GOP language meistro Frank Luntz, who has produced a memorandum of “The 14 Words Never to Use.” Thanks to the Internet and the blogosphere, we mere mortals can get our grubby mitts on what the conservative elite persuader Luntz is doing to scrub our brains free of individual thoughts."

Well, Orwell missed the mark by about 20 to 30 years, but I think 1984 has finally arrived by the looks of it, don't you, Alice? Politically correct speech, government paying for advertising and now, Luntz's "14 Words Never to Use." Where will it stop? It won't -- unless we stand up and say, "I'm not going to take it anymore." I'm turning off my television; I'm switching to flouride-free toothpaste; I'll eat as much eggs, meat and cheese as I like without worrying about high cholesterol; I'll smoke as many cigarettes as I like without worrying about cancer; I'm not going to allow these psychopaths to dictate what I do with my free will; I will give the lie what it asks for -- the truth. If we, as a country and as human beings, do not stand up en masse and pretty soon, we will end up like Winston Smith at the end of 1984, basically a vegetable. We're already almost there. Just look around you.

No, Dorothy, apparently we're not. We've taken a deep dive into Munchkin Land (translate that to La La Land, the illusional world of the media), the house has fallen on the Wicked Witch of the East (communism, perhaps?), and here's Glenda the Good Witch of the North to give us a pair of ruby slippers (the key to returning home). What the heck will I do with a pair of ruby slippers?

We'll need our brains, our hearts and lots of courage to follow the yellow brick road, navigating the coming perils, as we expose the man behind the curtain (Daddy, Cheney and friends) and thwart the Wicked Witch of the West (Condi, perhaps? She certainly looks the part.).

Thomas Franck has written a book called What's the Matter with Kansas? How Conservatives Won the Heart of America. In it he explains how the largely blue collar citizens of Kansas came to vote solidly Republican and to possess a deep animosity toward the left, when in its early days the state was a hotbed of leftist activism. According to Franck, this has become a fairly self-defeating strategy for the average Kansas worker. Franck maintains that the conservative establishment has tricked Kansans, playing up the emotional issues, such as abortion and gay rights, while rarely ever discussing the Republicans' actual economic policies and what they mean to the working class: fewer jobs, lower pay, union suppression, fewer safety regulations, less concern for the environment, etc.

To a great extent, Franck maintains, Kansas has become a microcosm of what's happened to the entire U.S. We've been bamboozled, hoodwinked, brainwashed with phony family values, while the Neo-cons are draining our pocketbooks -- left and right.

And that's not all they've been brainwashing us with. Have you heard of the HAARP project? Have you seen the growing number of chemtrails that criss-cross the sky lately? Did you know that the government has long had the ability to beam thoughts directly into your brain on ultra-low frequency waves? They're using this technique now in Iraq, as they microwave entire areas of Baghdad, as reported recently in the media. Take a look at this article, The Canary in the Mine, by Laura Knight-Jadczyk, that offers data on how HAARP and chemtrails are linked to mind control of the masses.

And the mind control continues with diet, health, pharmaceuticals, education and almost every realm of our existence. The plan is to dumb us down and fatten us up with flouride, pesticides, bio-engineered food, preservatives, sugar, television, video games, cell phones, psychoactive drugs, drugs in general and heaven only knows what else. The dumber the better to suit the plan of the Evil Magicians, the Architects of the Matrix.

The Family Meeting

This past Sunday, I had called a family meeting to discuss the state of the union, as I saw it, and what the family might do as a group to prepare ourselves for the coming Fascist States of America. Well, let's just say it went better than I expected it to, although some of the invited family members didn't show for various reasons.

My mother and step-father, my sister and brother-in-law and my husband and me sat all afternoon and talked about the very things I'm discussing here on the blog. Each were in different states of awareness. They listened patiently as I went through the evidence stored in my mind on 9/11, the war on terror, PNAC (see previous post), the coming economic crash, the coming state of fascism in America, mind-control and many other topics that relate.

We all agreed that we didn't like what our government was doing in our name. All have been against the war in Iraq and Afghanistan since the beginning, all are liberal in their thinking, but none were quite able to grasp the terror of the situation. Sis had a hard time believing that King George and court are lying about the elections (2000, 2004), about 9/11, about these pre-emptive wars, all to suit a hidden agenda and run by an admitted secret government. Brother-in-law worried that they don't have enough extra capital to join with my husband and me in a venture toward a safe haven outside the U.S.

We agreed to keep the dialogue going on this subject and to pay attention to the signs, but that's about all we agreed upon. We also agreed that an income producing property would be better than one that's not -- producing income, that is.

We talked about various countries where we could go. I had decided already that Canada and Mexico are out after reading on From the Wilderness that both countries had signed extradition treaties with the U.S. in 2003 to send draft dodgers back to the U.S. (geez, I wonder what King George's court knows that we don't). Having three draft age boys and three soon-to-be draft age boys made these two countries out of the question. Latin American countries, such as Belize and Costa Rica, were discussed as possibilities.

Those in the family of my parents' generation (65+) will not consider leaving the U.S., but some of them at least agree that it might make sense for those of my and my children's generations to get the heck out of Dodge while the getting is still good. Regardless of whether the family joins us in this venture or not, my husband and I have decided that we will pursue moving out of the country, as soon as we possibly can.

SEEing is Believing

I said a few posts ago that to be able to SEE what's really going on in the world today, one must first wake up to the fact that we are imprisoned by a Matrix that serves a purpose. But who, or what, controls this Matrix? Who are the Architects? Who is enslaving us? And, perhaps more importantly, why? In the next several posts, I'll post some observations that might give some clues to the answers to these questions.

Let's start here in the U.S., although I don't believe the Architects are strictly U.S.-based -- they're all over the world -- but the U.S. seems to be the hotbed headquarters for the current plan. It is quite clear to a good number of us now that our government has lied to us about many things to further its own hidden agenda. Let's see, where shall I start?

I gave the example in the last post about there being no weapons of mass destruction, which was the key justification for King George's plan to invade Iraq, but let's go deeper into the rabbit hole, Alice. Let's go to the root event that allowed the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq, will likely allow the invasion of Iran, Syria, and North Korea, and prompted the entire "war on terror." That event was, of course, 9/11.

Most of us watched in horror as the second tower was hit by a passenger plane, then we reeled with disbelief as both towers collapsed, right before our very eyes. Over and over again, we watched it happen, as the news media inundated us with these images (repetition while in a state of shock is a very effective mind-control technique). Before the morning was done, we were told that a plane had also hit the Pentagon and one was downed in a Pennsylvania field.

Almost immediately and without any kind of investigation whatsoever, we were being told that Al-Qaeda was responsible for the dastardly plan. We were told that 19 hijackers of Middle Eastern descent had piloted the planes that did the damage. And were told it over and over again.

Now, there are some fairly obvious questions surrounding the government's story, none of which were addressed by the supposed 9/11 Commission, which only served to tighten the intelligence controls on the U.S., rather than get to the real perpetrators.

For example, if the heat from the fires in the towers were the cause of their collapse, how is it that the tower hit last was the first to collapse and why have a number of engineers and demolition experts said that they believe the twin towers were demolished? Indeed, it certainly appeared to be a planned demolition, when viewing the sight on live TV.

Or how about this one -- why were some 7 of the 19 hijackers, who were supposedly killed in the attack, reported alive and well by their friends and relatives shortly after 9/11? That was a story squashed quickly. Here's another story that got squelched shortly after 9/11 -- why has the SEC not released the names of the unusually high number of investors who sold short on American Airlines, United Airlines, and the companies who insured the World Trade Center, and why does the investment trail lead back to an ex-CIA director, turned banker?

No, let's just focus on one area where some fairly convincing evidence clearly shows that the Pentagon was not hit by a passenger plane. SEEing is believing, Alice. When confronted with the facts, the objective reality, it is quite clear that no passenger plane hit the Pentagon. Something hit the Pentagon, but it wasn't a passenger plane. So, if we accept the facts before our very eyes, then we must conclude that our government is lying about the facts surrounding 9/11. And why would they do that? Why would they deliberately participate in a cover-up of the facts of 9/11? Why did the military stand down when they supposedly knew that four planes had been hijacked? Why was our government complicit in killing some 3,500 of its own citizens?

Well, the answer in part can be found in a document prepared by the Project for the New American Century (PNAC), a right-wing Washington think tank founded in the spring of 1997 by some of the very men who now hold office in King George's court. Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Perle and others, including the King's brother, Jeb Bush, have all been affiliated with this think tank. Four years before 9/11 and three years before the King ascended to the throne in early 2001, PNAC was urging then President Clinton to wage war on Iraq, according to this Philadelophia Daily News story:

"We urge you to... enunciate a new strategy that would secure the interests of the U.S. and our friends and allies around the world," stated the letter to Clinton, signed by Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, and others. "That strategy should aim, above all, at the removal of Saddam Hussein's regime from power." (For full text of the letter, click here.)

When Clinton wouldn't invade, it became clear that more was needed to push their agenda on the world. In September of 2000, a full year before 9/11, PNAC published their comprehensive report on the state of America's military and made recommendations for Rebuilding America's Defenses, a plan that is still being followed almost to the letter by King George and his court. One quote from the report seems eerily prophetic (or planned) in relation to 9/11:

"Further, the process of [military] transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event –like a new Pearl Harbor." (p. 51; italics mine)

Well, 9/11 has certainly been a "catastrophic and catalyzing event," now hasn't it? In fact, it is the very event upon which everything else has been based. This is the big lie at the root of all else that has ensued since King George grabbed power, well, except for the even bigger that he's even in power. This is the lie that threatens our very democracy (see Michael Moore's Farenheit 911 for more on the fraudulent way in which King George came to power in 2,000).

I don't know about you, but I don't think the 2004 election was any more legitimate than the 2000 election, and long live King George for another four years! How lovely to pay my taxes and have them squandered on needless, senseless war, secret intelligence and covert black ops to disrupt whole nations, like Haiti, when the money could have gone to so many other constructive uses here in our own country, like healthcare, arts and education.

I want out, Morpheus. Give me the red pill, please, please...

Signs of the Times

One way to wake up and stay awake is to pay attention to the signs of our times, to really observe our reality for what it is, not for what we'd like it to be or for what we're told it should be by corporations, politicians or the media.

For instance, when King George was justifying his invasion of Iraq, the world was told that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and that he had links to Al-Qaeda. The media played it up for days, weeks and months. All we heard was "Saddam" linked to "weapons of mass destruction" and "Al-Qaeda" ad nauseum. This is how the brainwashing is accomplished -- repetition, repetition, repetition.

So, the U.S. invades Iraq, kills (and is still killing) tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians, then finally admits a month ago that there were no weapons of mass destruction. Whoa! What the heck, Alice, was that the cheshire cat?

Now, if you were to conduct a poll today of American sheeple, you would find that a fairly high percentage still believe that Saddam had "weapons of mass destruction" and "ties to Al-Qaeda," especially those who rely on Fox News for their information (see the video Outfoxed for more on that).

I've found a website that does its level best to see the world as objectively as possible by gathering and reporting the news as it is, without the spin, without the glitz, without the right-wing neo-con agenda, but also without a left-wing agenda, because, you see, they are really just two sides of the same coin. To see objectively means to see without bias, prejudice or wishful thinking for the left or the right.

That website is the Signs of the Times. I go there regularly to get a dose of reality, especially when I've been inundated by all the propaganda, espoused by the mainstream U.S. news media.

The Matrix: A Culture of Lies and Illusions

We can't wake up to the idea of escape, if we don't even realize we're in prison, and most of us on the planet now don't have a clue. We think we live in the free-est country in the world -- America -- land of the free and home of the brave. Hogwash, Alice!

Most of us are enslaved by materialism, debt and the need to survive in a world full of psycopaths. The American public has been so thoroughly hypnotized by the electronic media, which is now controlled by corporate elitists and the government, that we have lost the power to think, let alone the ability to see the forest for the trees.

I said in my description of this blog that we live in a world dominated completely by Evil Magicians. This concept was introduced by G. I. Gurdjieff, an early 20th century Gnostic philosopher, to teach his students about what we would call the Matrix Control System. P. D. Ouspensky, a student of Gurdjieff, offers Gurdjieff's parable in his book, In Search of the Miraculous, which uses the metaphor of a rich magician and his sheep:

"First of all it must be realized that the sleep in which man exists is not normal, but hypnotic sleep. Man is hypnotized and this hypnotic state is continually maintained and strengthened in him. One would think that there are forces for whom it is useful and profitable to keep man in a hypnotic state and prevent him from seeing the truth and understanding his position.

"There is an Eastern tale which speaks about a very rich magician who had a great many sheep. But at the same time this magician was very mean. He did not want to hire shepherds, nor did he want to erect a fence about the pasture where his sheep were grazing. The sheep consequently often wandered into the forest, fell into ravines, and so on, and above all they ran away, for they knew that the magician wanted their flesh and skins and this they did not like.

"At last the magician found a remedy. He hypnotized his sheep and suggested to them first of all that they were immortal and that no harm was being done to them when they were skinned, that, on the contrary, it would be very good for them and even pleasant; secondly he suggested that the magician was a good master who loved his flock so much that he was ready to do anything in the world for them; and in the third place he suggested to them that if anything at all were going to happen to them it was not going to happen just then, at any rate not that day, and therefore they had no need to think about it. Further the magician suggested to his sheep that they were not sheep at all; to some of them he suggested that they were lions, to others that they were eagles, to others that they were men, and to others that they were magicians.

"And after this all his cares and worries about the sheep came to an end. They never ran away again but quietly awaited the time when the magician would require their flesh and skins.

"This tale is a very good illustration of man's position." (p. 219; author's italics)

Indeed.

Now, let's see what else Gurdjieff and Ouspensky have to say about being in prison. Again, from In Search of the Miraculous, here's first a quote from Gurdjieff, then Ouspensky's remarks:

"You do not realize your own situation. You are in prison. All you can wish for, if you are a sensible man, is to escape. But how escape? It is necessary to tunnel under a wall. One man can do nothing. But let us suppose there are ten or twenty men -- if they work in turn and if one covers another they can complete the tunnel and escape.

"Furthermore, no one can escape from prison without the help of those who have escaped before. Only they can say in what way escape is possible or can send tools, files, or whatever may be necessary. But one prisoner alone cannot find these people or get into touch with them. An organization is necessary. Nothing can be achieved without an organization."
G. often returned afterwards to this example of "prison" and "escape from prison" in this talks. Sometimes he began with it, and then his favorite statement was that, if a man in prison was at any time to have a chance to escape, then he must first of all realize that he is in prison. So long as he fails to realize this, so long as he thinks he is free, he has no chance whatever. No one can help or liberate him by force, against his will, in opposition to his wishes. If liberation is possible, it is possible only as a result of great labor and great efforts, and, above all, of conscious efforts, towards a definite aim. (p. 30; author's italics)

So, there you have it. Evil Magicians, the Architects of the Matrix, have been controlling this planet for a very long, long time, always hiding their true intentions. When you look at the history of our planet, it is quite clear that Machiavellian ideas have reigned supreme for eons, long before Niccola Machiavelli thought to write them down in The Prince, and they are no less prevalent today.

Gurdjieff offers the only means of escape -- a group, an organization. Until groups of us band together in like-minded determination to escape, we are lost. And to form groups of like-minded people means that a critical mass must first awaken to the fact that we are in prison, we are not free, we are merely sheeple.

Follow the rabbit, hmmm. And just how deep does the rabbit hole go? I'm not sure anyone can tell, but it probably goes much deeper than any of us can even imagine. Things are not as they seem in this world, Alice.

For several years, I've been thinking about checking out, disappearing, erasing my personal history, as Don Juan would advise, or unplugging from the Matrix, as Neo did when he took the red pill. In that same time, I've grown further into debt, become more dependent on my corporate job and become ever more disgusted and distraught by the actions of my government.

No more sitting on the sidelines. No more thinking about it or reeling from the terror of it all. I must do, take a stand, act in favor of my destiny. I'm going to work my way off the grid, come hell or high water (oops, we're already there, better get moving). I may even end up renouncing my U.S. citizenship. Who knows? Want to come along?

The journey begins when we learn to see reality for what it is -- not the reality portrayed by the corporate controlled media, not the reality that society's norms try to slot us into, not the reality our politicians would shove down our throats. Once we get a glimpse of the man behind the curtain, we can never go back to Kansas, Dorothy.

In the coming days, I plan to chronicle my unplugging in the hopes that along the way I might lend a helping hand to those who are also stuck in the Matrix and desperately want out.
